Dr. Matthew Zapf, MD

I've had other joint replaced so I can compare. this doctor and his staff are perfect. They give you the pre-op stuff they're easy to reach. They definitely care they follow up after the surgery they give you postop stuff. They recommend things to make it easier like an ice machine for your knee or your hip ! go there!!! Great doctor. .

Staff is very unhelpful, especially Medical Assistant at ext# 2. Avoid at all cost. They do not care, even if you are in severe pain. Other staff rarely returned phone calls in a timely matter. I even had to go to Urgent care for help because staff would not return call. Dr. Zapf himself is likeable, but after seeing him for several months, I learned do not question him or bother the staff no matter how much pain you are in. If so you may be told to get another referral and find another doctor. I think this was highly unprofessional (hense his low score). So I started all over and did find a better surgeon and office that is very responsive. In the end, I also found I needed different surgery than what Dr. Zapf had told me. So make sure you get a 2nd opinion.

He was there for me for six months including sending me to an excellent physical therapist. Highly recommended.

He assisted with my 15 year old son's double foot reconstruction. Outstanding physician with a genuine orientation of compassionate care for the patient. Incredibly communicative and informative. Interested in total patient care and quality outcomes.
