Listens and is thorough
I’ve been seeing him for three years having moved here at that time. I needed a new family Dr and he came recommended from a friend working at chandler Unified school district. He’s friendly, thorough and most importantly he listens and doesn’t rush the exam.

I saw him for about a year and a half. He seemed to never know what was going on, and couldn't bring old information to the new sessions. He put inaccurate information in my file. For example, he put in my file that I was a Type II Diabetic when my endocrinologist sent the records which indicated I was hypoglycemic.

I had a recent video appointment and it was as warm and friendly as an office visit. He took the time to listen to my problems and ordered an X-ray for me. He’s the best Dr I’ve had in a long time.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Wellock?
Dr. Wellock deserves this five-star rating because of his ability to seriously listen to what his patient is saying, and when needed, he asks the appropriate questions to get a clearer understanding. He is the first doctor I’ve seen in over 50 years who is empathetic and trustworthy, and on top of that, he’s got a great sense of humor! I’ve sorely missed him since he left the Gilbert/Warner location. I’m lucky, though, because I’ve recently moved to the San Tan area.

Scheduled an appointment one month ago. Came to the appointment and was turned away because he wouldn’t see me unless I’d shown to the office 30 min early! No one ever informed me I’d need to be to the appointment 30 min early. I had to reschedule my appointment for another month. Very inconvenient, very discouraging, obviously does not care about his patients. I’ll be seeking another physician who can see me sooner and who cares.

I have been seen by Dr. Wellock for 7 years for many simple to complicated health issues. Reading some of the reviews, I have to say my experience could not be more opposite than some of the less-than-positive reviews. He has taken the time to discuss with me in detail my health issues, always asks if I have any questions and follows up. He is by no means a Pharma-pusher. Keeping medications to a minimum, unless absolutely needed, is my experience. I recommend him 10 out of 10.

Let's start with the fact that no one wants to go to the doctor and when you finally do, you feel vulnerable. In that moment you need reassurance and kindness but you also need an intelligent doctor and that is exactly who Dr. Wellock is. I have seen him on multiple occasions for different ailments and have never felt more at ease and taken care of. I am a registered nurse myself so I am fimilar with many physicians and the healthcare? environment?, and hands down recommend Dr. Wellock.

Avoid Dr. Wellock at all cost. He cut me off cold turkey of my medications because of a political view he had. I visited him several times to end up spending my money debating politics with him. His only form of treatment is straight from the Pfizer Pharmaceutical pamphlets he hands out. He's not a doctor just a pharmaceutical puppet.

Dr. Wellock is not trained to handle patients who actually speak to him during the appointment. He does not take the times to listen to patients, to take their concerns seriously, or to refer to any other type of treatment that may be needed.

I believe that a great Doctor deserves recognition, and that is just what Dr. Wellock is. My wife has been seeing him for some time now and I was so impressed that I made him my PCP. He has always been professional, understanding and most importantly he is a doctor that actually listens to you and works with you. He makes you feel at ease and you can really tell he care about his patients.

I had my first appointment today with Dr. Wellock. He started the conversion saying, "i didn't know what kind of test to do for, you requested a blood test, so i ordered you one" As he stood there with my charts in his hands. Granted that i ask for him to renew a prescription for me 3 weeks ago, after the blod test, and he or Banner would not call me back. As i as ked the same question 3 weeks in a row

Dr. screamed at me when I went into the office with my husband who was critically ill, and I was so worried about him that I was having chest pain....then screamed Do you want your husband to die, do you? Do you? I have never been so offended in my life and told him so, and he said Good!. I left the office and had all of my medical records transferred and reported him to his superiors. In my opinion, he needs more training. My husband said he couldn't have been more surprised by his act.
