Dr. Vrees did not listen to what I had to say.He made me feel like I was making things up.There was no respect for my situation, or for me as a person. Also, in the after-visit summary, he disparaged me.I would not go back to him for any reason, and certainly wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.

Terrible follow up post surgery bad bedside manner
Dr. Vrees has terrible follow up with complications occurring from surgery. His bedside manner in non-professional. It is impossible to get through to his office and get prescription refills in a timely manner.

The Best
My father needed surgery when he was 90 and saw Dr. Vrees for a second opinion. My father was so impressed with him and the quick rapport they developed that he chose Dr. Vrees as his surgeon. Dr. Vrees brought him through the operation successfully. “Now go home and enjoy your life,” he told my Dad at his follow-up visit. And my father did that: He had happy and healthy years afterward, and for the rest of his life he prayed regularly for Dr. Vrees and his team. Besides his surgical skills, what sets Dr. Vrees apart is the kindness and respect he shows patients. Dr. Vrees spent a lot of time with my family answering our questions in plain English. There’s an anatomical chart in his office, and my Dad asked Dr. Vrees to explain to him using that chart exactly what his procedure would involve and how it would be done. Dr. Vrees did that. My family is thankful that Dr. Vrees chose to become a doctor, and that our paths crossed when my Dad needed help. Dr. Vrees is the best.

Dr Vrees a humble talented surgeon. He is a member of my " dream team." Removed my cancer ,encouraged me throughout my recovery , inspires me with his confidence and care. This is a surgeon you can trust and know you are cared about and for. I am forever grateful for him .The memory seeing him first thing at my bedside post surgery remains a high point of hope. There are few words to express my forever appreciation.

Terrible!! Was told I needed surgery and then after numerous phone calls to set up surgery not one phone call back. Lastly the secretary tells me I should go to the emergency room. Finally see another doctor and my issue was rectified in one visit. I paid him 300.00 and he did nothing. I suffered for months because of him. Strange how other negative reviews have disappeared

Dr. Vrees is one of the easiest doctors to relate to. He listens to you and his responses are well thought out, to the point and well articulated. However, more to the point of this review are his surgical skills “best pair of hands anywhere” according to some ofhis cooleague. But more importantly, best bedside manners pre and post-op in reassuring patient and family. Not unusual to see him huddle with families in acorner , comforting, laughig reassuring with an easy manner. BEST IN NEW ENGLAND

Dr. Vrees is a very knowledgeable and skilled doctor; however his bedside manner good use improvement. His staff and surgical coordinator leave much to be desired - had to wait an additional 2 months to have a procedure done because there was a note missing in a file. Calling the office sends you direct to voicemail with no call back for at least a few days.
