Dr. Matthew Rolfsen, MD

I’ve recently moved back into town and wanted to set up appointments with someone in all my needed specialities. I ended up with Dr. Rolfsen by chance. He had great bedside manner and referred me to an even more specialized doctor per my chronic illnesses. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rolfson entered the “patient room” exuding professionalism and warmth. We chatted for a little while and he then began to read my PCPs notes, ask questions, and make recommendations. He was highly knowledgeable, caring, respectful, a good listener, very proactive, and had a great “bedside manner”. I am very pleased and confident in Dr. Rolfson as my physician.

Very professional , great bed side manor. Listened attentively, not rushing to get you out the door. I thought I was due for a procedure, and said he would do it if I felt I needed it done, but he wanted to review my previous medical history first ( my previous doctor retired). I appreciated his attention to detail, asking the right questions before automatically performing the procedure. He was on time. Easy to talk with. Gave me appropriate time to ask questions. We discussed options openly and he gave me pros-cons and his recs.

He did a great job and listened to my concerns and acted on those same concerns.

This was my first visit with Dr. Rolfsen. He did not have access to my 3 years of records and test results because he hadn't had time to request them from the other gastro I went to. That didn't stop him from telling me that other gastroenterologists were wrong about my diagnosis and that he had a treatment plan for me. Dr. Rolfsen is so prejudiced against SIBO diagnoses that he refused to discuss it with me and automatically said I don't have it because I'm too young, I haven't had any surgeries, and 'my symptoms don't match' (even though I have every single symptom listed). I asked him what about the upcoming research suggesting other ways of contracting SIBO, and he just smiled and shook his head at me and kept typing. I asked why he didn't think it was true, and he said he just thinks it's too new and he's going to stick to what he knows.Apparently what Dr. Rolfsen 'knows' is Ibsr**a a brand new, brand name medication approved by the FDA two years ago ONLY for IBS-C.

I have a very complex medical history and Dr. Rolfson handled all the complexities I have with ease and was not only professional in every facet, he handled my procedure extremely well, along with having a great personality. Thanks a million times over Dr. Rolfson !!

Great doctor

I visited as a new patient to receive a colonoscopy. Dr. Rolfsen was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

Excellent bedside manner! Dr. Rolfsen made an uncomfortable but necessary procedure a very easy process.

Had to have a colonoscopy Dr. Roslfen has great bed side manner. He listened to my concerns and when the first option wasn’t producing results he immediately recommended the procedure to get definitive answers.

Endo and colonoscopy went well. Very compassionate. Listens to you and not trying to hurry up to see next patient Accepted me as add on for emergency procedure for GI bleed. I would recommend him for any procedure.
