DrMcelveen, is by far, hands down the best the Slidell area has to offer. He has treated a friend of mine since 2014I had always heard what a great doctor he is over the years .From close friends he had taken care of. From the first day my friend and I met him. He was compassionate, he spoke to my friend ( Like actually making eye contact with her. Which is rare with most doctors these days) He explained everything to us. Very thoroughly, answered each of our questions. Went over what the plan for her treatment of Breast Cancer was going to consist of. He made sure my friend & I understood what would be going on.His level of professionalism is unmatched. In my opinion , I have taken care of many people over the years. Been with them for Cancer Doctor visits. They had other doctors here in Slidell. I didn’t interfere with who choose.Dr Mcelveen ran circles around the level of care he provides to his patients.God Bless You Dr Mcelveen.

I was sent to the ER for abnormal labs and ended up with bone marrow cancer diagnosis. Dr. McElveen, i feel, saved my life. He is very personable, professional and knowlegable. He is caring and perceptive. This was in 2018. Now in 2020 I am doing well, and this dr. has helped the whole way. I highly recommend.

If you are suffering with cancer, Dr. McElveen is the exact kind of doctor that you want to entrust your care, your life, to. I have been a patient since October 2016 when I was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer at 35 years old and given a prognosis of 3-6 months. He has done everything possible to keep me going and I will be forever grateful. So compassionate and honestly cares about his patients. I’m very thankful for how he has treated me. Very kind, gentle, and understanding.

My dad was at the emergency room and you were the doctor on emergency call. The ER doctor at Slidell memorial would not call you to get the order for platelets which were at 7,000. I called the emergency line and your response is they need to call you. Their response is you need to call them and they can give them to him. After 6 hours and several individuals with the flu being around my dad who's white blood count was at 1.0 we left the hospital with him with no platelets! Hope we make it till
