I have had two appointments with Dr Macey. He has an excellent bedside manner. He is thorough in his assessment and takes time to explain in lay men's terms. He has a calming effect.

I had what i thought was a kidney stone in my urethra, but it turned out to be bladder tumors and a growth also was found on my adrenal gland. I was teamed up with Dr Matthew Macey and his nursing staff. They performed 2 separate procedures to remove the tumors in my bladder. He and his team of nurses were outstanding. They proved more than once that they cared about their patients not just their income. They were compassionate, understanding and most of all, they listened. As far as I'm concerned him and his team are top notch. I would recommend him to any one needing care in his field of expertise and training. Words cannot describe my gratitude to him and his nurses. Matthew & Sarah & team, thanks for all the care & help you have provided. May God bless your endeavors as you care for all your patients. Your brother & friend in Christ,

As with all the physicians with whom I've dealt at Virginia Urology for the last 30 years, Dr. Macey was competent, friendly, and caring. He fully explained my procedure, was candid about the challenges he and I faced in the matter, and was patient with my questions. My wife and I have had disastrous experiences with Big Medicine, but Va Urology is the exception. They have harnessed their enormous staff and resources to provide terrific and compassionate care for decades. Due to a number of recurring issues, I've worked with them far more than I would have wanted, but have always, without exception, been extremely pleased with the care I've received. I've been treated by at least 7 of their physicians down the years, and all have met a standard of excellence, as has their support staff.
