Great surgeon, amazing bedside manner
I felt compelled to leave a review to counter things I have read about Dr. Lilley's bedside manner. Dr. Lilley is one of the most attentive physicians I have ever had the privilege of being treated by. He listens intently, takes the time to answer all my questions, never seems rushed, and is incredibly knowledgeable. He takes the time to make sure I walk away from each appointment with every question answered and feeling ok about our next steps.Dr. Lilley also performed a successful ACL and MCL reconstruction on me and did an excellent job. He is knowledgeable about the latest techniques in ACL surgery, including BEAR and quadricep grafts, and was supportive in getting me back to sport. He seemed to value making sure I got the right graft for me, was not pushy, and ensured we came to a shared decision for my surgical plan. I would highly recommend him to any athlete looking for a skilled surgeon with wonderful bedside manner.

Worst experience ever
He rushed into the room and immediately started talking a million miles an hour. I've never seen anyone rush SO fast. Was only with me for a few minutes at BEST. Absolute worst bedside manner I've ever experienced. I'll definitely be finding another doctor for a second option who will slow down and take the time to actually listen and discuss information with me.

Consistently runs an hour late
For one appointment when I arrived to check in a woman was going off on the staff person about how long she had been waiting for Dr Lilly. I then learned that I had to wait an hour for my appointment. Waiting an hour for an appointment for each visit was standard. When I tried to talk to Dr Lilly about this he was dismissive and arrogant. He said, 'yes, patients get pissed...' He said that going to the Dr requires half of a day for the patient for each visit. All my other Doctors don't have this attitude and don't have this policy.

Dr. Lilley understands my issue, has reviewed my MRI and has determined a course of treatment that is working with potential other options in the future if my situation changes. I appreciate his easy, competent manner.

He’s a great doctor who is very personable with me. He identifies the issues and seeks solutions for a better healthier life for me. I honestly would recommend him to anyone else who needs a great doctor that actually cares about his patients. Plus he is always super nice with me and my family.

In one visit I had my concern taken care of. I also had the feeling that some of my pain was due to a hip surgery 5 years ago. So to address my concern he sent me back for X-ray of hip. We met 5 minutes later and said my surgery was good and the doctor did a great job. A persistent doubt laid to rest.

Dr. Lilley entered the exam room, shouted his name at me. Then gave me a cortisone shot in the knee, hitting a nerve, that was very painful, and hurt up my leg for weeks after. He had no expression on his face, and didn’t say a word. Just left the room. Never again!

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Lilley at the Shevlin Park facility. He took the time to explain what was wrong with my shoulder, and had a good "bed=side" manner. One thing that I wish he had done was offer a list of exercises that would benefit my shoulder and reduce the need for another visit for, perhaps, a few months longer.
