He's kept me going strong!
Every time Matt says 'keep up the good work,' I try to find the time to go next door and 'pay it forward' with a blood donation;-) He puts up with my attempts at humor but with all the ups and downs of living to one's mid to late '60s, I know he's looking out for my best interests. What else can one ask?

Excellent, Expert Internal Medicine Doctor
These reviews lambasting Dr. Lasala are ridiculous. These people are obviously rude...you can sense it by the way they word their reviews. Perhaps they had an overall bad experience and they are taking revenge; it sounds like they are raging against the whole institution. I've never been treated any way other than respectful and usually very friendly. If you are an unfriendly person, then Summit Health is probably not for you. These dumb sounding comments offer blanket failures that cover all aspects of health and prescriptions. However, he's been my doctor for 4 years and has done an excellent job analyzing my health issues and in one case referring me to a specialist. That all went very well. I get answers usually within the day when I contact the office with questions or prescription updates. Rx refills are usually sent back to the pharmacy within one day and his staff is online to answer questions fairly quickly or to get the doc to provide the answer. Highly recommended

Excellent primary care provider
Dr. Lasala has been my primary care physician for almost 20 years and he & his team have provided excellent care. My most recent visit was for a leg injury sustained while skiing. I contacted Dr. Lasala's office one day and he was able to see me the next morning. As usual he was engaged and compassionate, and he gave me useful advice on my recovery. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Lasala as my PCP.

Dr. LaSala
Dr. LaSala has been my primary Dr for almost 22 years. He has always treated me with respect and concern. I have had a few internal medical issues that were navigated with professionalism. We may have a difference of opinion on certain things (such as vaccinations) however he always respects my position. I highly recommend Dr. LaSala for your care.

Please don't go here-if you get sick they will not take care of you. Dr. Lasala ordered the wrong MRI which luckily a technician at the facility caught. He and his staff are abrupt and lack any empathy.

I would definitely not recommend Dr. Lasala. He is very ego-driven and won't consult with other doctors, even when my medical condition made it necessary. Getting a referral from him for a specialist who could help me was almost impossible. His nurse is horrible: rude, curt and unempathetic. I was scolded for reading my lab results that were posted in my patient portal and told they aren't for me to see. If you want a dr who is your advocate and believes in collaborative care, go elsewhere!

Do not use this Dr. unless you like rudeness . We made complaints against his nurse & office staff for multiple times for being very rude and unprofessional, never answers phones, barley returning phone messages, I just received a letter telling me that I have been dismissed as a patient after 18 yrs ,But not just from his care but the entire Bend Memorial Clinic he works for. Which happens to be the largest medical center within 250 miles, ,No Explanation at all.

He does not monitor what medications his patients are taking, and allows patients to continue on unneeded prescriptions, at the wrong dosage, and ignores signs of toxicity, until the patient is hospitalized and no longer able to walk. He is not honest with the patient or the patient's family. He is rude to older patients with limited education who have difficulty understanding.
