One of the best docs I have ever seen

I’ve been dealing with progressively more osteoarthritis hip pain for over a year. The only option offered by an orthopedic doctor was pain pills and eventually surgery. I realize surgery is probably inevitable, but I wanted to delay it as long as possible without depending on pain pills. Thank goodness for Dr. Kanaan and Wake Nonsurgical Ortho! After reading about platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and his years of experience, I was on board. Yesterday was my first injection, which was very fast and easy. Already, my aggravating hip pain is much better!

Dr. Kanaan and staff are very professional, and friendly and easy to talk with. They listen to my concerns and provide detailed information and recommendations for follow-up care when needed. 100% satisfied.

I went to Dr Kansan for planter fasciitis. His assistant examined me and I mentioned I had some knee pain. She stepped out and spoke to the Dr and came back to say I should get an X-ray of my knees. When I came back the Dr stepped into the room and stood at the opposite end of the room and told me I have arthritis in the knee and offered injections. He didn’t examine me or ask me any questions. I agreed to the injections and he left the room. When I came in for the injections he was unfriendly, abrupt and almost pained to have to interact with me. It left me feeling uncomfortable and I was relieved that I wouldn’t have to see him again. I wouldn’t go back to Dr Kanaan, nor would I recommend him to any one.

If you are looking for a non-invasive option for pain relief and you thought Dr. Kanaan's Doctor of Osteopathy degree might suggest he explores osteopathic manipulation as a first line of action, you should be warned that it NOT the case. In his defense, it is not listed on his website, so shame on me for being naive/hopeful. One of the first things he said to me was 'I'm an injection guy'. He told me there was no way to adjust my body. And he told me I had arthritis in my joint, which was not indicated on the radiologist's report. If you are looking for injections, he might be perfect to meet your needs. If you want a more holistic approach, keep looking.
