Excellent pain mgt physician
Dr. Fischer has helped my husband and I with pain management including RFA oblations, trigger point injections, and also helped my mom before she passed. Dr. Fischer is very meticulous, and Dr. Fischer and his team are very thorough, professional, and truly care about their patients.

Two visits to this practitioner derailed any faith my husband had left in the Thedacare system. Aside from being left to suffer from pain related to facet arthropathy for 2 weeks due to their protocol, the very first suggestion was a nerve ablation. Appointments were set. On April 1, he saw Catherine Allen APNP. Never has he ever been so summarily dismissed by a health "professional". She had the gall to ask him "So, did your neurologist tell you how much time you have left?" in regards to his recent diagnosis of ALS. Whilst we were reeling from that show of poor taste, she decided to regale him with how her brother tried to quit his smoking habit of 40 years (after stating she wouldnt lecture him), proceeded from there to lauch into a rundown of a "dual action Advil" trial of mixing acetaminophen with ibuprofen because "it acts like Percocet'. At this point, my husband quietly said to me "we are done here" and we prepared to take our leave from this "professional". She got quite upset,to which I stated this visit is over as you are not being helpful. I stated that in my experience patients with terminal diagnoses that are in pain are usually given pain medication. It's not like he was asking for anything off the wall. He wanted a prescription for tramadol because the trial run worked well for him. He was able to participate in his life instead of sit on the couch or sleep to deal with the pain. The notes she left were incorrect, and a flagrant attempt to absolve herself of any accountability.. going so far as to deem me "verbally inappropriate". While on the way home, he canceled his appointment for test injections as he is quite adamant he will never set foot in that office again to be treated as a drug seeker or to be dismissed regarding his pain. Find another pain management clinic if your loved one is terminally ill. This PM clinic is cold, aloof and possesses no compassion at all for its patients.

Stay away
Dr. Fischer repeatedly cut me off. He made no eye contact throughout my visit and seemed very rushed. I should have sought someone else at that point but thought maybe he had bad bedside manner but was skilled at the ablation procedure he would soon perform. I was so wrong. He rushed through that and didn’t provide adequate pain relief for this painful procedure. At one point the pain was so severe I asked him stop and yet he continued with the procedure against my will. I am in a lot more pain now than I was prior to the procedure. I truly regret seeing this provider. I am writing this review to hopefully help someone else from going through this.

Dr Fischer is truly a wonderful person. Explains procedures so you understand. Welcomes questions and answers them. If awake during your procedure, walks you through it, explaining what's happening. Wonderful bedside manner.. Nothing but positive...

Terrible
I accompanied my daughter to her visit with Dr. Fisher. Dr. Fisher did not give me any eye contact during the appointment at all! He did not acknowledge that I was even in the room. He had a very rude and superior attitude. When I would address a concern with him and express my opinion or ask a question, he was very short and rude in response and disregarded anything I had to say. My daughter had been to two prior orthopedic surgeons, as well as a neurologist and Dr. Fisher basically disregarded what the opinions of those doctors were…. despite the fact that those three doctors were all on the same page regarding the nerve issue with my daughter’s knee. Following the appointment, my daughter was upset and felt very confused. I would not recommend this doctor, and overall was very unsatisfied with our visit!!

BEWARE!
Horrible! 1st encounter was the last. He entered the room in a rush & was irritated. Was absolutely rude, cut me off mid sentences and snappish. Literally left the room without even telling me what the treatment plan was, I had to ask the discharge nurse. He was TERRIBLE! I have many chronic very painful conditions and he did NOTHING to help me. Tried to explain I was being treated with strong combination of antibiotics for diverticulitis that had serious side effects like joint popping and muscle tears, and maybe that was why I had increased severity of pain (?). He snapped & barked, "WE DON'T TREAT DIVERTICULITIS HERE!", obviously missing the point. I tried to explain that I had increased symptoms of my psydogout problem and he snapped, "THAT'S RHEUMATOLOGY!" I continued to try and explain my pain telling him that if can envision one of those skeletons they have in science classes, that everything that your eyes fall upon hurts me & all of my muscles too. He snapped again, "Well that

Dr. Fischer performed my procedure and was very empathetic towards my situation. Him and I had a lot in common so we were able to talk to each other at a personal level. I would highly recommend Dr. Fischer!

Rude, does not listen
I had a 2pm appt, was home by 2:30 and it is a 20 minute drive. Dr Fischer walked into the exam room, said he had looked at my chart and told me what his opinion was. He never examined me, never asked me about my symptoms or about my goals. I left for home crying as I hoped I might have hope for my chronic pain. Very cold, uncaring doctor!
