I’ve switched to Dr Farrell since my other Dr went to a hospital setting. Have had no issues. Seems to be thorough and tries to have patients live a healthier lifestyle rather than putting them on meds immediately, which I appreciate. He will prescribe meds if needed though. He has a style of being direct. I think if you are an honest person and don’t mind honesty you will not have a problem with a doc that’s been around and seems in the know.

He just comes in as a manager of your health and tells you which other doctor you need to see and then writes your instructions down on a piece of paper for you. Spends minimal time actually checking the patient and talking to find out exactly what may be happening especially with the elderly. He is not on top of getting testing done. Very lax and if you have serious conditions, don't expect him to be on top of your care. My dad transferred to him since his physician left the practice, saw Dr. Farrell at the end of June in the office and died beginning of August. Not impressed and disappointed.

He often runs late for appointments so try to get the first of the day or the first after lunch. He’s very in demand so it can be challenging to get an appointment, but my entire family has been seeing him since we moved to Brookfield in 1995. He is worth the wait. He is thorough, never rushes you, asks in depth questions, is not quick to medicate (which is a bummer sometimes, but I get it). SUPER fit and health conscious. He’ll encourage you to eat right and exercise. Knows his stuff. Trusted.

This as my first time with Dr Farrell and I find him to be exceptionally good. I went in for my annual physical. He's knowledgeable and thorough, just what I was looking for. I'm happy to call him my regular physician.

Just awful, I will not return to this office again. I came in with a severe cough and wheezing the only thing that was prescribed to me was an inhaler and cough suppressant. My symptoms didn't improve and I called the office to get a prescription for an antibiotic I was told no because it was a virus. I went to get a second opinion from another doctor turns out I have a sinus infection and bronchitis that can only be treated with antibiotics. Luckily I got a second opinion before I got sicker.

Overall I found Dr. Farrell to be competent, caring if not somewhat of a cookbook doctor. I also found him to be a bit judgemental about confronting patients on their weight. He could use some training on motivational interviewing as I felt like a bad person when he would bring it up and not motivated to change my unhealthy behaviors.
