A Christmas Miracle!
I went to Dr. Ericksen after the big-box store where I bought hearing aids several years ago told me that I now needed to see an ENT. I had fluid, which was making the hearing aids ineffective. Dr. E told me that I needed 'little-kid tubes' in my ears. As soon as he inserted the first tube, he said, 'Can you hear?' Yup! He did the second tube and said, 'Can you hear?' Yup! So that means I've spent the last 8 or so years thinking that I was a profoundly-deaf person. As it turns out, I was just a profoundly-STUPID person. The moral of the story: Always go to an ENT first and make sure you don't have something else going on. Anyway, because I'm so used to them, I still stick one hearing aid in my ear, but I am no longer profoundly deaf!! Thank you for my 'Christmas Miracle,' Dr. Ericksen :)

Caring & Compassionate
I made an appointment with Dr. Ericksen in regards to my ongoing sinus and allergy problems and I'm happy I did. Dr. Ericksen genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients as demonstrated when he took the time to listen to my concerns and address my questions. His warm and friendly demeanor created a comfortable and trusting environment, which allowed me to openly discuss my symptoms and concerns. I appreciate his conservative approach and his willingness to try different ways in order to help me. Thank you, Dr. Ericksen for your excellent care.

On Staff at HCA Florida Lawnwood Medical Center
Originally went to Tradition Hospital in PSL, FL where they did their best but I needed a specialist so they had to incubate me so I could breathe and transfer me to HCA Florida Lawnwood Regional Medical Center where Dr. Matthew Erickson DO was on staff waiting to care for me in the ICU sick unit. Thank goodness he was there because he was able to fix the issue that was swelling my tounge blocking my airway, eventually after a couple weeks of healing getting me back home. Thank you

Dr. Ericksen and his 2 nurses work very well together. I really benefitted from their amazing level of communication. I never felt like I had an ENT that would listen to me. Considering my extensive history of ent related issues, it was really important to me to have someone who cared about what I thought as well as offer new insight to what could be done. He took me seriously and was very effective in executing a plan of care that made sense.
