Horrid experience
First I drove two hours to see him after waiting for two weeks for the appointment. I waited in the waiting room for him for another two hours because he said he was so busy. After looking at my eye, he said just go home and soak it. I explained I had seen four or five doctors, who suggested I see an ocular oncologist. The reason I went to him in the first place was for a biopsy to see if it was cancer or not I was told by his staff that was not a problem. When I got there, He said he doesn’t do those . And in three minutes he said I’m so sorry. I have to leave now. I was left with nothing but swollen eyes. No care for hours of driving with Dr. That had obviously no interest in helping me. When he left me he said I’m sorry I have an important surgery to do with someone else. I thought that was me. After waiting two hours. I was in tears as this was very scary for me and I had just had five infections in that area from cancer surgery so the fear was legitimate. please read reviews 1st.

Bad experience
I had cataract surgeries with Dr Ehrlich. My experience was bad. I was taken behind at each office visit, and appointment dates including for surgery were moved for no reason. For the first surgeries, I was on hold in the pre-op room, with the IV and the Pledget sponge in my eye for over 3 hours. The eye was hurting real bad.For the second surgery I was again with the IV in the pre-op room for three hours because one of the staff or equipment was delayed. On Dr Ehrlich’s recommendation, I selected toric implants for astigmatism for an extra cost of $1,700.00 per eye, not covered. For the second eye the implant did not correct the astigmatism at all. Dr Ehrlich did not explain why and proposed a costly procedure to fix it (Lasik).Dr Ehrlich did see me for any of the post op visits.I informed him about my sensitivity to steroid. He minimized and after taking the drops I developed adrenal fatigue for 7 months.Dr Ehrlich, and most of his staff, do not care about the patient.

Worst experience of my life.
Was told upfront to pay large amount of money in cash or cc payment before he would even see me. I had exact amount of cash to the penny. He had assistant put eye machine to info sent to him by my eye doctor, looked at it for a few seconds and said I needed cataract surgery as soon as possible. Cash payment or cc payment up front for that too. Just got a second opinion from Dr in Grand Junction. Said I probably wouldn’t need the surgery until I was 99 years old, almost 30 years from now if I live that long. As far as I’m concerned, this doctor shouldn’t be allowed to practice. He probably only caters to the millionaires. I would give him negative 4 stars if I could.

Seemed uninterested in patient concerns. It felt like if you were not ready or interested in a surgical procedure, he abruptly left the exam room.

I was given an incorrect prescription by Dr Ehrlich and when the error was brought to his attention, Dr Ehrlich did not take responsibility or offer any compensation. To quote him: “It is not a perfect world. Mistake are made. Be glad it was only an eyeglass prescription.” I agree with Dr Ehrlich that mistakes can and are made, but I was always taught that one should take full responsibility for those mistakes.

My husband had a good experience with his surgeries, however, this year he wanted to just go in for a basic yearly eye exam, which our insurance covers. This doctor's office coded the visit as something other than a basic visit and after several long conversations with the office and our insurance company, including a call with both at the same time, the code has not been changed and we are still being billed $155.29 for a visit that our insurance should have covered 100%.

Dr. Ehrlich was one of the most caring eye doctors I have ever met. I was to have a couple of skin tags removed on my eyes and was petrified as I have had an eye doctor mess up a surgery before and the result was a massive vision loss. Dr. Which came to the lobby and sat down and asked how I was feeling. I told him I was scared. He had blocked the time out of his busy schedule to do this and after talking to him I decided to not have the procedure. He was amazing and I felt very competent!
