Dr. Dickinson was an ICU floor doctor at St. Anthony's while my father was admitted after a biopsy of his lungs went awry. Dr. Dickinson was his attending doctor for the first weekend he was there. Dr. Dickinson not only has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen in my life, but he essentially had us believe that hospice was the only option due to his history with cancer (which had no relation to why he was in the ICU). Dr. Dickinson clearly was not up-to-date with my father's medical history and did not seem interested in consulting with my father's oncologist or primary doctor. He seemed to blatantly ignore previous medical history and he was argumentative and dismissive. I would like to add that my father has nearly fully recovered and is not, in fact, on hospice. It appeared that he had little interest in the recovery of the problem at hand and wanted only to discuss his cancer when he is not only NOT an oncologist, but his cancer was not the main focus nor reason of why he was

Possibly the worst bedside manner imaginable. Smug, arrogant, unable to exhibit caring or emotion. Robotic in his approach. Basically could not care less about the patient and clearly exhibits a lack of empathy and a blatant disregard for the suffering of others.
