Dr. Cerniglia is amazing! If it wasn't for him my mom could have lost her life. My diabetic mother was kept in a hospital for 3 days because they could not find a surgeon to look at her foot due to being a self pay patient. I didn't even know that was a thing but I guess it is. Once I realized that the hospital was not going to do anything I reached out to a close friend that referred me to Dr Cerniglia. I contacted him that day and sent him the photos of her foot and he said get her out of that hospital immediately she needs to be seen right away. We checked her out of that horrible hospital and drove her to his hospital and right away when he saw her he knew what the cause was (Brown recluse bite) and amputate her toe. Because of him she is now recovering and doing much better. I can't thank Dr. Cerniglia enough for stepping in and saving my mother, he has been such a blessing. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you're looking for a extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor.

More disappointed in the process than anything. I began to see him in July of 2019 and the first visit went well. I was excited that my foot was going to feel right again for the first time since 2016. The injection worked for a couple of days, but the pain cane back. Insurance covered some insoles that I wore, but those did not work either. I thought that I had plantar fibroma, but the x-ray showed that I had strained Metatarsals or something along the lines of that. I received another injection that did not work. Nothing could be figured out until mid December when he did a manual nerve test on my foot. I was sent to a neurodiagnostic doctor who diagnosed me with Neuropathy and remind you, they knew that I was Diabetic so I was having Foot problems regardless. I was finally sent to get a MRI on my foot after all of these months without having one. I got all of this done in two weeks with the promise that he would get me back into his office before my copay was up. Did not happen!

Surgery was a success. Dr. Cerniglia is the best doctor, along with having an amazing staff. You know your in safe hands, when he is working on you. He explains everything in detail, and makes you feel calm when he is discussing the prognosis. If you are having any issues with your foot/ankle, I would suggest giving him a call. He gets ?????????? from me!!!

I started seeing Dr. Cerniglia in October of 2017 due to severe pain in my foot for 12 years that I never got taken care of. I had surgery in January, and I have not felt pain since. (aside from obvious surgery pain) He is a miracle worker, and I would highly recommend him for any and all of your podiatry needs. I can finally get my life back! Since I am only 29 years old this surgery meant the world to me, and I can never thank him enough!

I was compelled to write a review for the Ankle and Foot Institute of Texas after my experience there under the care of Dr. Cerniglia. The welcoming staff treated me with nothing but courtesy and attentiveness. In turn, making my experience pleasant and painless. I was treated promptly and in an extremely relaxed environment. I felt very confident leaving my care in the competent hands of Dr. Cerniglia and his staff. I wholeheartedly recommend this podiatrist and his team.

DO NOT LET THIS GUY TOUCH YOUR TOES! I had ingrown toenail surgery done on both big toes five months ago & continued to have problems & pain. On day 1, he told me that he would kill the roots & that I should be fine in a few weeks...5 MONTHS LATER, I could not wear closed-toe shoes! Went to REPUTABLE PODIATRIST yesterday & he had to completely redo surgery & showed me during the surgery that the roots were still intact & they were causing infections & problems! DO NOT USE HIM!!!!!

Had to pay another copay for a follow up visit. Paid initially for the procedure (which included a copay) and assumed the 2 week follow up visit would be covered. I've never had to pay for a follow up visit in all my many years of doctors visits.

Day after surgery. Dr. C and his staff went above and beyond to explain EVERYTHING to me. Helped get my ins. paperwork for my employer done quickly and on time. Rather complicated surgery, my time under was close to three hours. He explained everything to my girlfriend when I came out of surgery, gave us his personal cell number since surgery was finished rather late on a Friday. The 4th foot doctor in almost three years, but the first to properly diagnose my issues. HIGHLY recommend!
