Dr. Matthew Brooks, DO

I transferred to Dr. Brooks because my last doctor didn't listen or work with me. Dr. Brooks has and assisted me in getting my health needs addressed. He cares yet doesn't step away from being honest. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Brooks spends sufficient time with you & wait times are minimal although front desk personnel aren’t the least bit friendly. Unfortunately, on my last 2 visits I was caught off guard when I received my bill. During my first annual visit (which insurance covers at 100%) I received a bill for over $200 after my insurance. When I called to gain insight I was told it was all in the coding that fell out of insurance coverage. So this year, I was crystal clear to all staff (reception, blood work & nurse) prior to my visit & during visit that this was a well care visit that my insurance covered at 100% & specifically stated what blood work I didn’t want (see a specialist for these). So I was a little surprised when I received a bill (after insurance)for almost $100 and blood work done that I specifically told them I didn’t want & again additional medical codes that Dr. Brooks entered that didn’t occur at any length. While I like his care, I have a serious issue on their billing practices.

We had a very bad experience in the delivery of healthcare with Dr Brooks.. the office was under construction and there were strong toxic odors, the staff was frustrated acting out and signs on the wall about don't be aggressive and this is what aggressive is... Then after telling the office manager about what we experienced she told the doctor and he was no help and seemed like he didn't care.. not what we expected... If you love chaos this might be the place for you.
