An Unhappy Person with Poor Judgment
I was seen by Dr. Bouchard at UPMC Bedford under an unexpected 303 involuntary commitment by my father. I asked for a mental health evaluation because I did not feel my father had the grounds to extend my commitment, believed I could take care of myself and was not suicidal nor homicidal. I was not given a fair chance to defend myself against some of the statements I made, and he made me feel like my thoughts and interpretations of events didn’t matter. I was not given a real mental health evaluation as compared to the extent of the evaluations I received at UPMC Memorial by staff. I became agitated because I was sitting in a bed for hours waiting for a bed to be available at Somerset and was extremely bored. I felt trapped and like my father did me wrong, so as a competent adult rejected my treatment and tried to walk out. I was restrained by a security guard when I was not hostile nor aggressive. I resisted because she wrongfully grabbed me. I was strapped to the bed and shot up IM.

Had a very bad experience with dr Bouchard. I work in healthcare and was very disappointed in his work demeanor. His accusations where uncalled for and caused my family much headache and medical bills. He did not listen to my concerns or thoughts and did not look into past medical history. I would avoid having him as a provider.
