Dr. Matthew Adkins, DO

My primary care physician closed his practice a few years ago, and I searched for a physician I could trust who would provide optimal care. I made an appointment with Dr. Adkins and never looked back. He listened to my concerns, made great recommendations, and has cared for me for the past three years. He is caring, knowledgeable, and respectful.

I've never had a doctor that truly cares the way Dr. Adkins does. I've even moved two hours away since becoming his patient and I still use him as my primary care physician, usually via Telehealth, but will still sometimes go out of my way and make the long trip because I know I am in good hands in his care. He really is truly valuable to the LGBT community, as well as anyone else fortunate enough to have him as their doctor.

He is the best doctor you could ever watch. He covers all bases. Even things you don't think about. He listens to everything you have to say. He researches whatever it is you need to have done. His bedside manner is wonderful. I wouldn't go to anybody else. The staff is nice. I would recommend this doctor to anybody to go see him. You'll never find a better doctor

Dr. Adkins is the first doctor I’ve seen that actually made me feel comfortable enough to talk about some health concerns I’ve had for a very long time. He was extremely understanding and sympathetic which put me at ease. He took his time to listen to all of my concerns, acknowledged and validated them, gave sound advice and treatment options, I never once felt rushed. You can’t ask for more in a physician, I would recommend him to anyone.

I spent a lot of time searching for a New primary care Dr. when I moved to Columbus. I found two other Dr. in the area that really didn’t seem to care or listen to my medical history and needs before I found Dr. Adkins. As I am part of the LGBTQ community it was very important to me to find a LGBTQ friendly Dr. that was knowledgeable with LGBTQ issues. Dr. Adkins was so great! Dr. Adkins spent the time to understand my past medical history and anything medically that I needed to address. He has amazing bedside manner and is compassionate and knowledgeable. I have reached out to Dr. Adkins through MyChart when I have had questions or concerns and he is always very prompt to respond. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Adkins and Highly recommend him.
