Dr. Adamo has treated my daughter for Chiari Malformation and Pseudotumor Cerebri. His knowledge, patience and understanding are incomparable. He nurturing and calm demeanor was everything we needed to calm our own nerves. His skill in the operating room has saved my daughter's life on more than one occasion and we will be forever indebted to him. Additionally his PA, Lisa Newman is also fabulous, knowledgeable, helpful and on-point every time. I would recommend Dr. Adamo to anyone in need of a pediatric neurosurgeon whole-heartedly and without hesitation.

My teenage daughter was diagnosed per her MRI and family physician with a spinal syrinx. We were referred to Dr. Adamo and he literally spent 5 minutes with her. He never even listened to what her symptoms were or spent time with us. He said she needed a second MRI and would call with results as soon as received. I had to call three times, left messages with rude office staff after the MRI, and finally received a call back three days later from a female nurse. She stated that Dr. Adamo said there was nothing he could treat her for and to bounce on an exercise ball, try physical therapy, and then insinuated she needed a therapist do to covid. I asked her about the symptoms she was having (severe back pain, left leg numbness, left arm numbness, weakness, nose bleeds, migraines, etc) and stated they were clearly from the Syrinx. She stated she would speak with the doctor and call me back. This never happened and was unprofessional care all the way around for Albany Med.

My son just had a cavernous malformation removed from his brain last week. Dr Adamo was amazing, as were his team. I’m so grateful for this mans skilled hands. He wasn’t sure my boy would talk after the procedure as it’s been affecting his speech his whole life. Dr Adamo has an excellent bedside manner and is very good at explaining things. Thank you sir. You’re our hero!

As soon as we met with him, I knew everything was going to be OK...He was very competant, very knowledgeable, very honest, and had a down to earth personality, explaining things very clearly, My daughter the patient age 16 was respected and felt very comfortable with this doctor, he explained things so clearly and addressed her at appointments. At and after surgery my first impression was confirmed...He is a wonderful and capable doctor I would recommend him highly and am very satisfied!
