While he appears very confident about his knowledge and abilities in surgical interventions, it is merely just a facade. My experience with Dr. Matt Kirkland has been absolutely horrible, and he takes zero accountability for the complications caused by his inability to admit he was not competent in the area requiring medical attention. Now, I have to completely get the surgery over again while still recovering from his original procedure. This is because his work was so terrible that it caused continual severe complications for months, and basically only deteriorated my health even further. The care provided by Kirkland is denounced by my entire care team, whom in which have continuously tried to fix his mistakes for months. I would highly recommend you seek medical care from someone else.

Choose someone else.

Almost 8 years ago Dr. Kirkland did an extensive surgery on me as he removed a tumor that was on top of a bleeding ulcer very close to, if not on, my pancreas. He had to remove half of my stomach and much of my intestines. For this type of major surgery I've have very little after-effects, most of which have been cured with light prescription anti-GERD meds. This is remarkable for all the replumbing he had to do.
