Pombo is just another doctor. He sees his patients as numbers and doesn’t care personally, just collects his check, he did a half job on a surgery, and didn’t even checkup with my pateient afterwards… very bad doctoring

64-year-old male tennis player needing an ACL reconstruction. Dr. Pombo did an excellent job in performing an allograft procedure; designing an aggressive rehabilitation protocol; and monitoring my full recovery. Very pleased with the results and returning to a fully active lifestyle of travel and sports.

I've been to Dr. Pombo for treatment of both shoulder and knee injuries. The knee required surgery and results were excellent. He is very easy to communicate with. He listens and explains everything very well and seems to really take an interest.

I love playing tennis and golf and I was having knee pain, which was preventing me from enjoying those activities. Dr. Pombo diagnosed my problem as torn meniscus along with arthritis in my knee. Surgery was scheduled quickly and Dr. Pombo cleaned up my torn meniscus and also addressed the arthritis. I’m back playing the sports I love with no knee pain. Dr. Pombo’s understanding of my problem and explanation of what I needed gave me confidence to proceed with the surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Dr. Pombo performed meniscus surgery on my knee. This was my third knee surgery in total and the second one on the knee Dr. Pombo treated. Dr. Pombo is amazing at outlining the treatment options and considerations for making a decision. He took a lot of time to explain things, make sure I understood his responses to my questions, and asked me a lot of questions to make sure he was addressing my situation appropriately. Dr. Pombo's interest in my specific goals and concern is something I have not experienced with any doctor other than my primary care physician, and he is the first of three knee surgeons and one hand surgeon who has expressed this level of interest. I strongly recommend Dr. Pombo and have shared my experiences with my friends and family so they know to see Dr. Pombo should the need arise.

I have had two surgeries with Dr. Pombo and have been more than pleased with the entire process. He is an excellent and thorough surgeon. If you have any sports related injuries I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Pombo for the very best of care!

Dr. Pombo is fantastic!! He surgically repaired my torn meniscus and I am back to my normal running schedule with zero pain! I feel so lucky and thankful that he did my knee surgery!! THANK YOU Dr. Pombo!

Dr. Pombo and his team are amazing! My initial visit w/ Dr. Pombo was via Zoom. I was impressed with his friendliness and genuine care, which I don't always get/feel from other doctors on telehealth calls. Since then, I have had a couple of in-office visits and surgery. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him to anyone and would give him and his staff 10 stars if possible.

Dr. Pom of is awesome. My surgery was a success and I still making progress with using my shoulder and biceps again.

After having an MRI on my left knee it was determined that I had a meniscus tear and some arthritis. Dr. Pombo performed the surgery and one week later I am recovering and feeling very good. Dr. Pombo is a knowledgeable and caring doctor who I would highly recommend.

While seeing Dr. Pombo during the recent pandemic, I found him to be knowledgeable and has a kind bedside manner. While he was not able to completely repair my knee, I believe he has gotten it to a place where I can avoid a replacement for a few years. My only criticism is that follow up on a joint lubricant has not occurred.

Amazing experience

Dr. Pombo has been exceptional since our very first visit for my sons ACL injury. His level of care, compassion and expertise has brought about a sense of comfort not only for my son but for the entire family. My son is recovering extremely well post surgery and we are looking forward to the continued relationship during his rehabilitation.

Dr. Pombo is great! He is an excellent surgeon and a Dr. who really seems to care! Excellent communication skills and compassion.

I went to Dr Pombo for pain in my left knee. After further investigation and an MRI, it was determined that I had a tear in the medial meniscus. Dr Pombo performed Arthroscopic surgery to correct the tear. The surgery went great and I am healing and recovering nicely. Dr Pombo is a very good communicator and takes his time with you as a patient and is a great listener. I would strongly recommend Dr Pombo to anyone that needs an awesome orthopedic surgeon. Awesome! He listened and answered all of my questions and explained all of my options. He was able to see me and schedule surgery quickly. I had immediate relief when I woke from surgery. He and his staff made sure everything was handled up front before surgery...such as obtaining a custom knee brace to having physical therapy scheduled right after surgery. Detailed paperwork sent home after surgery that was very helpful.

Knee surgery a few years ago, the pain has never come back!

This is my second time working with Dr. Pombo for a knee injury. I am 57 years old who runs distance races and cycle who is willing to race at my limits. Dr. Pombo immediately put me at ease — he understands athletic people. He did not push surgery, and gave us a balanced view of my alternatives. I chose surgery and am glad I diD. He sent me a video immediately after surgery (he’s still dressed out) describing what he did. He was ENTHUSIASTIC about the results and that put me at ease for my future. I feel like I am in the best hands possible and that is very reassuring. I am confident I will return to my former self.
