There's not enough space here to note the excellent treatment and care I had the moment I offered my name to the two receptionists ready to assist my healthcare experience at Weil Cornell. Moments after I walked the magnificent fourth-floor hall, expansive windows to my left and comfortable couches spaced far enough from each other to offer a comfortable sense of privacy to my right, a woman called my name. Her eyes brightened as I turned to her and nodded. She then introduced herself as the one who would assist my health journey and informed me that there would be a support group mentioned during my visit with Dr. Cristofanilli. I was awed by the support immediately offered by your staff. Moments after I was brought to the examination room, a young physician introduced herself, ensured they had all the necessary facts and records about my health and current condition, and succinctly described these to Dr. Cristofanilla once he arrived to discuss my medical care. My mother arrived at the NYP Emergency Department straight off a plane from Texas, where we were given the devastating news that she had only a week to live. Knowing that this hospital offered different treatment, I acted quickly, hoping for a miracle.When she arrived, my mother was in incredibly poor condition, and the medical team was uncertain about her prognosis. After discussions, she made the brave decision to pursue chemotherapy. That’s when we met Dr. Cristofanilli. The moment he entered the room, his compassion and nurturing spirit stood in stark contrast to her previous oncologist. I felt an immediate sense of hope.I’m amazed by the progress she's made since starting treatment. Her cancer cell count in her blood was 82 upon arrival. After her second visit with Dr. Cristofanilli, it dropped to 56, and by her third visit, it was down to just 6. I switched to Dr. Cristofanilli after my previous oncologist at another hospital was not adequately addressing my MBC. Despite my serious diagnosis, I am currently NEAD, which is absolutely amazing. He is directive yet listens and answers my questions, and is compassionate with a calming presence. He has saved my life and I am forever grateful.

Exactly what I would look for in a doctor. Respectful, addressed my concerns and gave me the confidence that I’m being treated by a doctor that has the knowledge and experience to prescribe the best treatment.

I have never had a doctor address my concerns and explain treatments ,labs and any testing the way Dr. Chrustofanelli does. I have cancer for several years so this is not my first Oncologist or cancer center but it is the very best. The staff from reception to RN's are phenomenal. They are not pretending to care they actually care and go beyond their scope to help you. As busy as Dr. C is my appointments are on time and you are never rushed in and out. I finally have hope that he will give me the best chance possible to live longer if not more. God Bless them all.
