Dr. Mary Figueroa spent very little time listening and asking questions of me to better understand my situation. I told her that my primary physician retired, after having seen my husband and me for many years, and that I'm in the process of looking for a replacement. She made no comment about how I might do that, nor did she present reasons why she might be a candidate. She spent time searching for something on the computer, though she offered no explanation. She ordered tests requested.

She dismissed statements and then without asking any Qs flagged my husband as needing cardio clearance to begin PT (a healthy male plays competitive sports 2x/wk and works out everyday in his 30s with no family history of heart issues and his pain does not fit with typical cardiovascular disease). This flag delayed PT for >1wk to see his primary MD. Meanwhile his pain worsened and landed him in the ER where after getting a full cardiac work-up that came back all clear still no ok for PT.

I saw her a few months back because of another review I saw that made it sound like she was kind, understanding, and overall an excellent Doctor. She wasn't terrible but I wasn't impressed by her abrupt, rude, and dismissive behavior. I needed specific paper work filled out that would help me qualify for fmla for an ongoing stomach pain and fatigue issue. I already had a previous Doctor approve me for loa almost a year before. She made me feel like a hypochondriac and approve my fmla.

Had no idea what she was doing. Prescribed me birth control with an antibiotic that made the birth control ineffective and I HAD TO RECOGNIZE THIS. Then did not acknowledge this or apologize when I called back. Does not listen. Very rude. Would not recommend.
