She almost killed me
Hey Mary, it's almost been a year since you severed or cut my pulmonary artery during a biopsy. You didn't read my chart to see that I had previously had radiation for stage 4 cancer in my lungs, and decided to cut out some necrotic material. That necrotic material was the dead cancer cells from the radiation. You ended up cutting my artery instead. You then asked my wife in a panic after the other doctors came in to stop the bleeding (I coded and almost bled out) if I had ever had radiation. My wife informed you it was the first thing in my chart. You obviously didn't read my chart before the procedure. I ended up in a coma for a month and spent almost two weeks in an acute rehab center where I had to relearn how to walk and think. You made it so I was on a ventilator for 6 weeks and my lungs shrunk so I could barely function without becoming short of breath. I would like to personally thank you for the worst year of my and my family's lives. Thanks, Mary. You are the best.

Attitude
After my wife had a mass found in her lung from a CT she a lung biopsy at this care center and Elmasri was the one who gave us the news she had Stage 4 lung cancer. Sat there with this fake smile like instead of any true compassion; asked what we do next and she simply said to go find an oncologist. Devastating diagnosis and she treated us like we were a burden to her. Awful.

Very rude disrespectful zero bed side manners. Felt rushed and we were a burden to her. We asked for her to not care for my mom again

I found Dr. Elmasri to be pleasant, knowledgable, skilled and comforting. My procedure went well with no complications and her consultation both before and after the event was clear and thorough. She was late for our scheduled procedure, but certainly no fault of her own as she needed to conduct an emergency procedure on another patient. I would have no reservations recommending Dr. Elmasri to friends and family.

RUDE!!! Waited months for an appointment. WASTE! Not only was a treated with zero respect, but she acted like I was a burden. Interrupted me constantly & snotty face expressions to follow any questions I had. I feel like I left the office with no answers, & her receptionist was quick to get me out the door with no help to what follow up I needed. Dr didn't point me where I needed to go & went back to her office to kick feet up and get her pink iPhone which is obviously more priority than people.

Dr Elmasri had many opening on short notice, now I know why! She's was incredibly condesinding and most dismissive specialist I've ever seen! No answers to my questions or my test results discussed, only questions from her asking when I made the appointment, who in her office I spoke to and come back in a month, apparently a report from such a prestigious medical facility as National Jewish Hospital was not good enough for her! To top off the horror her office billed over $400 ! Still shocked

Cannot get return phone calls from office, difficult to schedule appointment. Given a referral that wasn't accepted because it didn't specify what the referral was to do. Given a CT scan but after four phone calls still never received the results. Always a different receptionist. Person you had to deal with to get to see the doctor doesn't return calls. Leave messages, no response. Finally going to different doctor for problem.
