"The Menopause Whisperer"
Having read Dr. Dolan's reviews, I was shocked to find that several of her past patients gave her low ratings. I give her the highest possible marks. I have been post-menopausal for over 20 years, have lived all over the US; and until I met Dr. Dolan, I have NEVER had an in-depth conversation with a physician about my gynecological needs with someone with a research background, training, skill and INTEREST. There are real reasons that Dr. Dolan is known as "the menopause whisperer". I've referred her to all my family and friends. What higher recommendation is there?

Excellent doctor, staff merely ok
The doctor has been great. I appreciate that she specializes in older women. However her staff hasn't provided the world class care that one would expect from Emory.

Imagine being told that your doctor accepts your health insurance, only to discover you have been stuck with a hefty medical bill at the visit’s end, of $650 for your annual PAP.  I have a very good Cigna plan, why would I go voluntarily to a doctor that does not take my insurance. I trusted what I was told. You would think you can trust a doctor's office, right ? That’s exactly what happened to me with doctor Dolan's office, OBJ at Emory. The doctor was fine, easy short visit. IT took me 2 months to get my appointment, they could have told me the truth. But instead the morning of my appointment they supposedly called my insurance, NO log was recorded on their side of a call. Before the visit the gentleman at the desk assured me he talked with my insurance and that only had to pay a $ 50 copay.  As a result, I has been complaining to billing department at Emory who keeps sending me to the customer service of Emory.  I have been told once they could give me a rebate of 10% and a

My whole experience with Dolan was terrible. Her staff was very unwelcoming and I was already nervous about my appt. When I went in to get annual check up, I was in pain throughout the whole process. She was not gentle at all and was very forceful. It was hard for me to relax because she would not allow me a moment to relax. And after the whole ordeal was over she and her nurse laughed about the whole experience right outside of my room. They talked bad about my reaction and I could not help but feel even worse about myself. I will definitely be changing Gynecologist. She is most definitely not worth going to.

I have seen Dr. Dolan for at least 20 years...She performed a complete hysterectomy on me in 1999.I had good results from the experience.. I have heard that she is now only practicing Gynecology for older women.. Can you verify that? I wanted to consult her regarding overactive bladder.. How could I find out this information? Dr. Dolan,in my opinion,is the best ob/gyn I have ever been to... She is a caring,empathetic,professional... If you see her,you will never want to switch to another Doctor.
