Dr. Mary Cantey, MD

On my first visit with Dr. Cantey, I was impressed how she listened to my complaints based on my symptoms, before jumping to conclusions about my diagnosis like other doctors I went to did. She is very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. She wants you to get the care you need and takes a holistic approach to medicine. I would highly recommend her!

When I went to Dr.Cantey I found out I was pregnant. I’m currently in college. So I’m young.. well that’s what she said. To me I feel as though doctors should comfort you and make you feel safe. On the other hand SHE DID NOT. She went on to tell me how I wouldn’t finish school, how I wouldn’t be able to get an a apartment, how my boyfriend would leave me to be a single mom because we’re young and how I would I have to stand in the WIC line and how if she were my mother she would’ve handled things differently with me since she BELIEVES my mother isn’t “old school”. SHE DOES NOT KNOW ME FROM A CAN OF PAINT. This is my first AND LAST time going to her. One because once again she does not know me ! So how do you know what I can or cannot do. I could have an apartment right now for all she knows. So basically what she told me is get rid of my baby or I won’t accomplish anything in life . WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

Love Dr. Cantey! She has been my children's doctor since 2008 when she was located at University Hospital. She is caring and takes the time to listen to all of your issues and any concerns. She is gentle and caring from the infants to the elderly. I love her as if she was apart of my family.

I was referred to Dr. Cantey a few years ago( maybe 3),after having had horrible experience with former pediatrician.. I was a lot hesitant, after previous experience. Was I relieved!!! Dr. Cantey is the ultimate professional. She really cares for her patients. Knowledgeable and my son could not be happier. We came to her not long after his receiving a diagnosis of being on the spectrum, Asperberger's Syndrome, for routine care. She assured me that my son would be fine and thrive in life!!

She actually listens.. and she actually cares. You feel it when your in her presence. And she looks EXACTLY LIKE MY MOM! Plus.. she black (lol) I am hooked on living again

Can't ask for a better physician. I have searched for two years for an accurate medical diagnosis. Dr. Cantey found my problem and gave thorough explanation. The best of the best!

Dr. Canty is very personable and easy to relate to. When you come to her office she takes time out to listen to you. She help you to feel comfortable. Office staff make you to feel like you're part of a family!

Dr. Cantey is my new Primary Care Physician. I was totally relieved to meet her. She is a smart, loving, and amazingly compassionate doctor! So happy to have her on my side! Can not say enough about her!

Came as a walk-in and was able to be squeezed into the schedule and be seen quickly. The staff at the front desk were friendly and have a smooth workflow. Dr. Cantey is a very knowledgeable and caring physician who inspires trust.
