I have been a patient of Dr Ashmore for a number of years. she is easy to talk with, not averse to saying she is puzzled and wants a second opinion. As an elderly male, she has never failed to do a prostate check during a physical. She is both an amazing physician, and an amazing person.

poor. I had an appointment with her in 2015. i can easily pay her fees. but she kept me waiting for an hour while she laughed it up with someone over their children. i heard everything. finally her nurse came in and said my time was important, too.. i couldn't believe how poor mary ashmore was until i experienced a couple of doctors at pen bay!

Dr. Ashmore never did a PSA test or rectal exam on my father over the course of many years. He was diagnosed at Mass General Hospital as having Stage IV prostate cancer when we took him there to find an answer for the pain he was experiencing. He passed away 4.5 years later. It bears repeating that Dr. Ashmore did NOT do a routine exam on him for his prostate!

My sister is caring for my Mother who suffers from dementia. In order for her to get a hospital bed for my Mother, she had to have a Physician come to the house to do an evaluation.This Doctor said she would do the evaluation. While occupied cleaning my Mother, my sister missed the Doctor visiting. My sister tried repeatedly to raise this Doctor on the phone. Once she was able to reach the physician, she was told Bring your Mother to the E.R. and tell them you can't take care of her.
