Highly recommend
Total knee replacement on my left knee was performed by Dr. Siems. It has been an amazing experience working with him. I had my right knee done last year in another state. It took 6 months to get to where I am in 2 weeks post surgery with my new left knee.

Was so hopeful but left feeling hopeless
He was not knowledgeable about my condition and didn’t seem to care to learn. Basically just downplayed by pain. Years of pain and the person who should help you just makes you feel little. Staff was amazing however.

Recent Appointment
Dr Siems performed total knee replacement in 2008. I requested an appointment with him recently because of pain in my knee and hip. Due to his thorough exam, he discovered the problem was with my back. I was so grateful to finally have an answer to my pain issues! He ordered an MRI and will collaborate with one of his colleagues to find the best path to pain relief. Dr Siems gives a thorough explanation and takes his time to listen! I would definitely recommend OrthoArkansas and Dr Siems to friends and family. Thank you Dr Siems for finding the issue and helping with next steps!!!

Excellent Orthopedic Surgeon!
I had a fully ruptured quadriceps tendon. It tore completely off of my knee and took a little piece of knee with it. It also tore my thigh. He told me clearly what the issues were, what was going to happen, and what the recuperation would be like. After surgery I took a picture of my leg with the cut and staples; and I sent it to some of my friends (my "Frankenleg" as I called it). I have friends who are surgery nurses and physical therapists (who live in different states, so the have no previous opinion). ALL of them said, separately "wow! that is a REALLY good incision and stapling". I got zero sympathy because they were so impressed with his work! For my recuperation, I did as Dr. Siems instructed, and a few weeks later and some physical therapy the knee is doing great. Dr. Siems has lots of experience and positive reviews and that is what you need for this this type of complex surgery in my opinion. I highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr Seims several times concerning both of my arthritic knees. He is one of the most caring physicians I have seen and he really listens to you and takes the time needed to explain your options. When I finally give in, he will be the doctor that will do my knee replacements. He also did a hip replacement on my spouse who had a fantastic outcome. Would highly recommend him!

I have had a terrible right hip and suffered extreme pain in that side for nearly 25 years. Dr. Siems put me back together despite having to spend twice the normal time in surgery cleaning up the extensive damage (I was under anesthesia for nearly 5 hours). In the end, he made a very tough procedure look good. I was recently released from his care after only 6 1/2 weeks and now no longer am in constant pain. He is a very patient man although he will be very frank and clear with his expectations for his patients prior to and after surgery. I can not imagine a better person than him for a hip replacement.

Doctor was dismissive, abrupt, and inconsiderate. He interrupted me when I was examining my concerns. He didn't seem to listen to or even care what I was saying. Told me there was "nothing he could do" for me instead of offering suggestions or options. 5 years of chronic pain and he spoke to me like I was making it up just because xrays were fine. He got 1 star just because he finally gave me a referral for an MRI. But I will NOT be seeing him again.

Dr. Siems came very highly recommended by an orthopedic nurse. I was grateful for the recommendation as I knew I needed an ACL repair but had a horrendous experience with another Little Rock orthopedic surgeon. The staff at Ortho Arkansas was courteous and kind as was Dr. Siems. Dr. Siems took ample time to explain all aspects of my condition. We then examined all of the options regarding how to make the necessary repairs with the best possible outcome for me. He didn't make me feel rushed. He listened carefully, was extremely knowledgeable and we arrived, together, at a positive plan of action on how best to address my concerns and needs. I feel confident recommending Dr. Siems and OrthoArkansas!

Best Ortho doctor I have ever seen (and I have seen/used several)! He recently did a complete left replacement in January and is doing a complete replacement on my right in a few weeks. In my first visit with him he was in there for awhile, getting to know me, my history and explaining the surgery and recovery (I’ve had a few that were in there 10 mins tops, and that’s pushing it). He showed concern over why I’m having to have all these replacements and I’m only 51 and lost over 100lbs. He did blood work and referred me to a specialist concerning this. Just love how you can tell he is truly concerned about his patients and not just about the mighty buck. Btw, the left hip is doing awesome, and the incisions look pretty awesome as well, especially with it being such a short time since surgery, he uses something like little zip ties, best thing ever! Hands down Dr. Siems and his wonderful staff are the best in the ortho world here in Arkansas! Don’t use anyone else except him!

Have had three surgeries preformed by Dr Siems; my late husband had two. Dr Siems is an excellent surgeon and is genuinely concerned about his patients. I would not consider using any other surgeon. My son in law recently had a hip replacement done by Dr Siems without any complications.
