Had he left it at the Hashimoto's diagnosis and needing more sunshine and not tried to diagnose a mental illness, my life course would have not been negatively altered.

I was a patient of Dr. Raitiere for about 9-10 years. I met him in the hospital where I sought help due to a bully manager at work. He helped with meds until the bully manager finally broke me after a PTSD hit from layoff threat eight years later. A bully attacks when a victim is weak. I was an excellent programmer. I lost my job when he refused sick leave to get past the last and worst episode of trauma. He cost me my life's work, he cost me my ability to afford retirement. If he valued those with mental difficulties, he would consider sick time necessary for a short term ability to heal and regroup. I will never forgive him for making me feel unworthy of the sick time I had available. It cost me health care as a diabetic. Years without money for treatment. I kept telling him the stress was at the office. I am still struggling to afford life. I would like an explanation and an apology. I will never get either. A doctor would never refuse sick leave to a post-surgery patient.

I've been seeing psychiatrists for 15 years, and Dr. Raitiere is by far the most beneficial. This is the first time I feel like a doctor has gotten my treatment right.

Dr Ratiere has been the best Psychiatrist I know. He listens intently, remembers what you have said in the past and sticks with you in trying to get medicine that will work for you. I have seen him for over 4 years now. He is well read in the discipline, can readily tell you your options and is a scientist in his own right.
