Pros and cons
I really appreciated the boost to my ego that Dr Tarpay gave, but it’s not why I went to see her. I went to see her to get diagnosed for MCAS, which she is very well-studied in. I appreciated her understanding and knowledge, but I wish the appointment hadn’t lasted nearly 3 hours. There was no need for it. Roughly an hour or so was spent on her trying to convince me to go to PA school because I’m knowledgeable about MCAS and antihistamines (which is a massive plus because she doesn’t let her own ego get in the way and is willing to learn new things). Several times through the appt, nurses would interrupt to ask her a question about another patient. At one point one, a PA came in and I didn’t feel like I could object to him being in the room with us. She also asked me to remove my tattoos??? Not cover them, remove them. She’s a really friendly and caring Dr who isn’t in it for the money. If you’re okay with the long visit, I’d say go for it. She’s a really sweet and kind person!

My doctor recommendation!
She took the time to explain in regular terms and to make sure I understood the issues and what she recommended for treatment. She listened and asked questions to figure out the best possible health treatment plans. She is definitely one of the best and I’m so fortunate that my health insurance company recommended her for my allergy appointment.

Absolutely love her!
I have never had a doctor care so much about what is going on with me. Dr Tarpay spent her time with me not rushing anything. She listened to my concerns and she addressed everything that I had problems with. She is so knowledgeable and understanding. She is friendly and kind and I would recommend her to everyone. I've been struggling with my allergy problems for 8 years and she made sense of it all in our appointment and I understood everything she said. Absolutely an amazing doctor!

Total visit time was 3 hours, two of which I was waiting to be seen. Office staff seems rushed and unprofessional. Doctor kept getting interrupted and stepping out of the room when I finally was seen. Not knowledgeable. Left with no new answers. complete waste of time and money. Do NOT recommend.

Dr.. Tarpay is an excellent Dr. I went to 4 different Dr.s in 5 years before Dr. Tarpay visit and she was able to diagnose and treat my illness. She is very thorough and does not quit before she has answers. I never mind waiting for Dr. Tarpay because when I have needed her, she works me in an appointment, and spends as much time with me as I required.

Dr. Tarpay and her Associates are remarkably thorough in their pursuit of finding the cause of your problem, treating the problems, and educating you how to effectively treat and control your problems. Although each appointment means a long visit, it is well worth your time - simple planning ahead to spend at least 2 hours with the assurance your care will be life changing. It has kept me well maintained through all bad seasons... I call it Tarpay magic!

Wait times were through the roof and she was never completely committed to my appointment. Did not make an effort to seem as though she valued my time at all. Waits from 15 to 30 minutes at a time at random intervals throughout. She directed that I eat edamame for a soy allergy to challenge it, but disregarded all concerns and questions for my safety because of anaphylactic reactions. Refused to provide Prednisone when anaph. swelling occurred and was forced to go to the ER ($600 trip).

Dr. Tarpay is very good at what she does. She has helped get my son's asthma under control and is very, very thorough. With that being said, plan on being at an appt for at least 2 hours. Parking is a nightmare and the wait is always crazy.

This might be the worst experience I have ever had at a Doctors visit. My 1 yr old had an allergic reaction to milk so I called in to schedule the appt I was put on hold 4 different times. When I attended my appointment I was given paperwork for an adult and they were surprised to find out the appointment was for my 1yr old! Afterward I was in the waiting room for 1.5hrs to then be put into a room for another 40mins. When the doctor finally arrived they told me that they couldnt assist that day!
