Dr. Marshall Stai, DO

I had the privilege of being Dr. Stai's patient for three years (recently moved states) and he is far and away the best doctor I've ever had in my life. Dr. Stai is calm, empathetic, patient (I always asked him a zillion questions and he never once rushed me), understanding, and a true expert. He also has zero ego and will be honest with you in a refreshingly down-to-earth manner. I'm just a random blurb on the internet, but I vow that choosing Dr. Stai for your general care will be one of the best decisions of your life.

I do not recommend anyone seeing him. After sitting in his office for over 2 hours, he refused to see me (despite having been in the same room with me 2 weeks earlier while I was with a family member) because I tested positive for COVID at the end of August. It’s literally been 6 weeks and I am showing NO symptoms. I was told, (but they refused to write this in a letter when I asked) that he wouldn’t see me until I tested negative. According to what I was told from the health department, I could test positive for up to 3 months. They claimed to “never have heard that before” which is also alarming that he’s not even keeping up with what the health department and CDC says. So what else is he not up to date on? I even put a plastic face shield on, and approximately 45 minutes later, he sent someone in to tell me he could t see me. He said I could go to urgent care downstairs. I don’t NEED urgent care!! I NEED a family doctor! If you’re that afraid, Doc, find a new profession!

I highly recommend Dr. Stai. He is professional, patient, caring, and takes the time to listen to health issues and answer questions. His persistence in determining my current health issue has been beyond what I've experienced in quite some time. His staff (especially Donna) is helpful, polite, and efficient. If you're seeking a Dr. in Lexington, this is the one! Thank you, Dr. Stai!
