Dr. Marlisha Edwards, MD

Dr. Edwards cares for my elderly mother and has for several years. Not only does my mom speak highly of her, when I have accompanied my mom to appointments, all the staff has been great. Madison is always pleasant and patient and Dr. Edwards is direct, yet uses kindness and humor to ease any concerns. She explains what she is doing and why and takes a practical approach is recommending screenings, etc. If I didn't already have a PCP that I like, I would absolutely consider changing to this practice. She is a compassionate physician who takes time with her patients. Doesn't hurt my opinion of her that she graduated from FSU College of Medicine, which has a wonderful family medicine program. Dr. Edwards is amazing and I am comforted knowing my mom gets such great care.

Dr. Edwards has been my doctor for several years. She runs blood work but is hesitant to run other tests. I had some blood work that was out of whack for a while and nothing but frowny faces on the copy of the blood work. Turned out I had fatty liver. So I went years without knowing or being referred. Eventually I found out due to other things and then worked on that which brought my blood work down and into range. If you want a doctor who only considers 'standard' care and only after you bring it up. Then she will do very well for you. I will say her office is usually on time as she keeps her meetings to exactly 5-10 minutes.

Called her office today to book an appointment. Not accepting any new patients.

Dr. Edwards is the best! As a fellow medical professional, I love that she still takes the time to explain her rationale for things. She is extremely approachable and always timely with responses. If you’re looking for a new PCP look no further!

Dr. Edwards has been my primary care physician for the past five and a half years. I can honestly say she has the best bedside manners and definitely takes the time to listen. I fell very comfortable talking to her about any issue that I may have going on.

I had a telehealth appointment with her and although not in person so was thorough and very personable. I would definitely use her again!

I have been in the medical field for over 30 yrs and have worked with many many physicians and I have never met a physician that truly cares 100% about her patients. Dr. Edwards treats her patients with such passion. Her knowledge and bedside manner is phenomenal. I can literally say that I trust her with my life. I highly recommend Dr Edwards to anyone who is looking for a new Primary Care Physician.

I feel so comfortable talking with Dr. Edwards about any issues. She's friendly and doesn't rush through the appointment. She is very thorough and will repeat certain tests often to ensure the problem is resolved or hasn't worsened. She explains things in a non-condescending manner, but in a way I can understand. I feel so lucky to have found her and refer as many people as I can to her. As a bonus, she dresses well.

Dr Edwards goes above and beyond to get you in and to ensure you are doing ok. She has excellent diagnostic skills and follow up, and perhaps most importantly listens to her patients. The worst part of seeing her is scheduling. Southern medical is large & ALL of their services are routed through 1 awful, insanely slow, phone tree. It's not uncommon for it to take 10+ minutes to just get to a human & leave a note for a nurse or scheduling. It's then sent to her office in a diff loc for response

Dr Edwards is the most thorough and compassionate physician I have. She takes time explaining your condition and the results of labs thoroughly so that you fully understand. She is kind and has an amazing bedside manner. I am constantly referring her to everyone I know as I feel she is one of the very best Internal Medicine Physicians in Tallahassee, Florida.

Great experience, I love Dr. Edwards and her entire staff! They make you feel as if they have known you for years, which makes it comfortable for you to talk to them about your issues if you have any.
