This is a very aloof physician. If you are in need of medical care I would recommend you keep looking. His opinion is never lacking in himself but he does not seem to care anything about his patients. Happy retirement doc

I also agree with the previous posts. He is checked out for sure. I called to report I would rather die then continue with my condition and his nurse said come in at 11. When he came in he said "I just saw you 3 weeks ago, why are you here!" I just about lost it. He never made eye contact with me and had his face buried in his computer. He has ZERO compassion! He also picks and chooses what to put in the record to make me a lair. He is a danger to his patients. He ruined me and my life!!!

Dr. Sternfeld has been my Primary Care Physician, since I moved to Central Oregon. He has a great bedside manner. He reviewed my medications following tests following my first appointment and adjusted them to better suit my condition.

His decisions are only made in his best interests and his alone. When he manages to drag himself to the office after being on his third three month vacation of the year, he accomplishes absolutely nothing. Seeing him is a waste of gas. He has definitely mentally checked out, acting as if he's just counting the seconds until retirement. I had to got to the ER once because his office was too incompetent to fill an important med before a long weekend. His stand in is much better. Schneider I think.

It was disappointing to find that this doctor was not able to put his self absorption a side for his patients. I found him to be lacking in effective detail to my medical needs and compassion.

My belief is that Dr. Sternfeld is more interested in his Laptop than what you have to say. He cannot get your medications recorded correctly, and asks you the same questions with every visit. It?s apparent that the patient experience is not as valuable as what fills his wallet. Dr. Sternfeld and BMC are both made for each other.
