Dr. Mark Silverman, MD

Dr Silverman wants to help his patients and works hard to provide knowledge and support. I’ve been seeing him for over 2 years. He has NEVER cancelled and has made changes in his schedule to accommodate mine. He cares, provides helpful information and truly seems to want his patients to feel better. I trust him and would not go elsewhere.

Dr Silverman was very condescending and shamed me quite often during our sessions. His office is an absolute pigsty. Some of the time he is surfing the web, occasionally zoning out. He also doesn’t fulfill the amount of time the appointment is scheduled for. A 30 minute session may last 20 minutes. I get a deep sense he is bored and gets off by belittling some patients..as other reviews have suggested.

If you're looking for a doctor that is kind and compassionate, this is not the man to see. Very rude and condescending. I have never had an issue with any of my mental health care providers aside from Mr. Silverman.

i have an out of control adult child. when, as my child's parent, i have tried to talk with him he has refused to listen to me. some times to get to the truth he needs to understand other things not just what the patient is telling him. my child has been seeing him for over ten years and has only got worse under his care DO NOT USE HIM my opinion

Loses patience with children who are anxious and afraid.

I was referred to Dr. Silverman for a foster placement psych eval for a 4 year old. The child is not comfortable around strangers at all. I couldn't believe when Dr. Silverman took her hand and she just trusted him. She spent almost a full hour with him and was totally comfortable. By the time I came in, he had her writing and doing puppets. I also spent some time with him for a pre-interview and I absolutely loved his style. While we were there to discuss my foster placement, he seemed to "see me". I don't know how to explain it other than that. It was like I was naked and he saw my soul (not in a weird way). Anyways, I don't often leave reviews, but this doctor is clearly very good at what he does. I tend to appreciate a direct personality and he is that (which is what I assume someone should desire if they are looking for a good doctor). I highly recommend him. Adult or child.

He’s been incredibly helpful since I started seeing him last summer. He figured out what was actually going on with me and I appreciate that so much. He also listens to me

I trusted this Dr shy of 3 years. Then he treated me with utter disrespect. He breached trust with me. A medicare summary revealed he claimed files twice, and was paid twice, 2 separate months, spread by two days each, and he double booked me my final appointment. I was unable to have my hour. Often he only discussed entertainment with me; music, movies, celebrities, and managed to shut me out from addressing my past. One of my last forms of communication with 'him' was his wife impersonating him on text. Once he initiated a call to me. I had to call back, and he was obviously bored with me and proceeded to tell me I was using his emergency line and he then disconnected; yet, he said to text him back on that same number. I addressed him about that but, received no answer, so asked again as he was short tempered about it. No answer but him saying I was repetitive. Very hurt and disappointed. I'm searching for a new Dr. now before my rxs run out, but going back to him wouldn't be wise.

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Took the time to explain to me what my treatment was for and how we would ultimately get there. Happy to say I’m definitely on my since I’ve been under Dr.Silvermans care.

Dr. Silverman has always been there for me in my times of greatest need. I have been to numerous psychologists and psychiatrists, and none have been as helpful or understanding as Dr. Silverman. Easily the most genuine and empathetic psychiatrist I have ever met.

Dr Silverman is excellent! He is a great physician that is genuinely concerned about his patients. He is very knowledgeable and has been very helpful to me. I am really happy that I was referred to him.

Nothing but positive things to say about Dr Silverman. He continues to be the best psychiatrist. Great listener, attentive and wants to help his patients live a happy life. Since I've been seeing him, life has improved!!!

Very condeceding. Ask questions without listening to answer or tells you wrong. He told me I wad having a manic episode although I had zero symptoms Put me on lithium and told me I would sleep great I was up all night with racing thought horrible doctor

Dr.Silverman's practice also includes adults...not limited to children. Dr. Silverman is very attentive and has benefitted me greatly. I would highly recommend him for any type of mental health issue no matter what your age.
