Dr. Shaver seemed to jump immediately to the conclusion that I was only there seeking drugs; even after imaging and blood tests confirmed in the ER that I was seriously ill. When I returned to him after the course of treatment given to me at the ER because my symptoms persisted, he seemed annoyed and stated I shouldn't be in pain, that the treatment worked. Dismissively, he sent me for further imaging that isn't capable of detecting my condition. Two days later I was back in the ER where they confirmed my condition had resisted treatment and I had to have emergency surgery to correct it. While I understand, we are all human and mistakes happen, that does not excuse his condescending demeanor. His tone and attitude toward me was upsetting. It's good to see that he doesn't treat all of his patients this way given the other reviews written here. Caution may be a necessity with so many drug seekers, but not to the extent of making someone in pain feel alienated.

If anyone who lives in the Battle Ground area is looking for an AMAZING doctor... I would 100% recommend Dr. Shaver at Legacy Battle Ground. He is the best doctor I've ever met in my life & I'm seriously SO happy that he is my son's primary. He is so knowledgable & kind. And I have never felt so at home in any type of clinic setting. I just have to spread the news!

He was so kind and attentive! Listened carefully, took lots of time with us and seemed very knowledgeable. Had some very great suggestions and gave a necessary referral. His bedside manner was impeccable! My 91 year old mother was in love with him by the time we left! I can't figure out why other reviews are negative....

Didn?t take the time to even look at me. Kept asking the same questions over and over and I kept saying the same thing back, ?I?m hurt?, he didn?t even look at me. Said ?well, so you?re just going to deal with it, ok?.
