Went in with flu complications... had already been to urgent care at the same office 2 days prior. I was having sever nausea and diarrhea and this guys didn't even do any bloodwork to see who I was doing. He even said this is why people should get the flu shot. I ended up going to the hospital 2 days later because I felt like my heart was fluttering. Turns out I was dehydrated, but worse, my blood sure was down to 52 which is dangerously low. Had this doctor taken a little more time and not been so arrogant thinking he knew what was happening and taken time to actually look at me and maybe do a little bloodwork, I might have been on the mend earlier.

Never Again
Doctor has the worst bedside manner… his condescending attitude and lack of compassion towards a patient is ridiculous! I will never see this doctor again and actually found another primary. He never looked at me or even addressed the reason I was there except for his nasty stare when he “questioned “ information he saw on mychart. I left the appointment disappointed and concerned on why a practice would employ a doctor that has zero empathy.

I saw Dr. Schaeper for a toe that I bumped. He was really nice and had a good sense of humor. He explained how I should care for my toe and did all necessary tests to make sure that there was no other issue.

My husband had an appointment scheduled at the 10810 Mallard Creek Rd University location to see DR Mark Schaeper. The appointment was scheduled for 4:15 and we arrived at 4:17. There were 4 receptionists and 3 people behind us in line and 4 people ahead in line with atleast 2 with 4:30 to see Dr Schaeper. We were being told the computers were down and we were all asked to complete forms by hand which we all did. When it was our turn, our ID and Insurance card was copied and we were asked to be seated. Next, a lady came from the back and told us we had to re-schedule because we were late. I said "by two minutes and we were in line." She said you weren't here at 4:15 so Dr Schaeper left right away. This would mean he wasn't ever planning to see his 4:30 patients since he left at 4:15 according to what we were told. As I pointed that out, then the story changed to Schaeper had to get to the airport! Either way, they should be ashamed for not valuing their patients and lying to us all!!

Dr. Schaeper lead me thru what could have been one of the hardest journeys of my life. He was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and set up my appointments with the top care in the Charlotte area. I had recommended him to several friends who had tried several different family doctors. Each and everyone gave him the highest of praise.

This doctor is an arrogant and rude person who offers less than acceptable care. I have and will continue to refuse to see this doctor at this practice. If no other doctor is available, I just don't go. If you like a doctor with a big-shot attitude who yawns then you talk to him, stares at you to intimidate you, and makes assumptions about your condition without a proper examination, this is the guy for you.
