Dr. Mark Mascarenhas, MD

I was first diagnosed with CHF early in January 2018. That's when Dr. Mascarenhas started overseeing my care. I refused treatment, hoping I would improve. I didn't. More and more of my effort was required to keep going. In September of that year I had to call 911 because I was blacking out repeatedly at home. At the hospital, Dr. Mascarenhas was able to bring me back to normal by installing a pacemaker at that time, with an expectation of replacement in 5 years. It is now almost 7 years later, Dr. Mascarenhas replaced the pacemaker early this year, and I am feeling better than normal this day. He not only saved my life, but is a strategic differentiator in saving my quality of life. God bless you, sir.

I have been a patient of Dr Mark Mascarenhas for over 4 years. I trust him with my life and would refer my friends and family to him. It is rare that you find a doctor that is caring, intelligent and listens to your concerns. He goes above and beyond addressing my medical concerns. 4 years ago he saved my life. I have a family history of High blood pressure, stroke and other heart issues. Dr Mascarenhas noticed something was OFF with me and through treatment by medication and testing I feel better than ever.

No chit chat, right to my situation. What were my options, the success rate of the options, if not successful what is the next step. It was a proactive approach to treat my persistent A-fib, two ablations plus two cardioversions in eight months. Other cardiologists told me there was no chance to correct the A-fib because it was long term. They were wrong and I am glad I tried and succeeded in curing the A-fib for now. Dr Mascarenhas teaches other cardiologists how to perform the laser surgery, that is who I wanted. Painless procedures.

Had to have a procedure. I have lots of allergies. He kept asking about different drugs and saying were you allergic to that too? During my procedure, instead of a tiny cut, maybe 4mm I have a half inch square area that is ripped and bloody. My chest is beyond sore.

Dr. Mascarenhas is a very personable doctor with sincere care. He is not like many doctors who are condescending because of their degree. I was lucky enough to get Dr. Mascarenhas when I was experiencing what thought was anxiety. He explained in easy language for me to understand and with sincere concern, that it was an extra beat of the heart but not a worry. He prescribed a medication that works very well. It took care of the problem. I am very comfortable talking to him and trust his judgement.

Dr. Mascarenhaus immediately made me feel that we were a team, and he could come up with a treatment plan. He performed an ablation, and along with a medication protocol, it was successful. Dr. M is experienced and caring, a wonderful combination. I highly recommend him, along with his great staff to anyone.

I was refeered to Dr Mascarenhas for Afib issues and after meeting and consulting with him I was a canidate for the heart ablation procedure that went very well with absolutley no issues and as of now a year and a 1/2 after my heart ablation procedre I have not encounted Afib since, Dr Mascarenhas was a true professional and explained to me in great detail on how the procedure would be performed and what to expect post procedure, I would highly reccomend Dr. Mascarenhas for any of your Cardiology needs.

I was there for an annual checkup, and I have had a V-fib incident which required being paddled twice to be brought back to life. Last year I had some issues with my blood pressure which required additional testing and I was concerned this year again. Dr Mascarenhas is kind, polite, friendly, soothing and helpful (in answering my long list of questions) when I come. The medical assistant was top notch and very thorough and good. Checking out and making of new appoints for next year went fast and painless! Making sure my device was working was harrowing to think about but was handle with professionalism and kindness and a recommendation of where to find a support group with people who have experienced what I have been thru with my V-fib. High recommendations for Dr Mascarenhas and the team he has assembled!

Dr. Mascarenhas extremely professional: he takes time to listen and time to explain. A first rate professional experience. . He has been very attentive to my health issues. I have had complicated health problems and he has addressed them all. He is very kind and patient. I am very grateful for him.

Implanted a pacemaker instead of a defibrillator...by error. I needed two more procedures to correct his blunder. When I asked him he said it was an oversight and he would correct it if I made a booking then and their. He got paid by insurance which is all he cared about...he was happy to admit to his mistake and put it in writing Found another electrophysiologist and had the blunder rectified. STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

Dr. Mascarenhas was entirely dismissive of my questions, concerns, and seemingly, me as an overall patient. I felt absolutely belittled during the entire visit with absolutely no comfort or assurance in my health. My condition was not even fully explained before I was ushered out while still asking questions. One of the worst physician experiences I’ve ever had and truly hope that new patients looking for cardiologist look elsewhere.

Great nice guy knows what he’s doing

Dr. Mascarenhas is very smart and figured out a way to treat my heart rhythm and get it back to a normal rhythm with drugs and without cardioversion as cardioversion was unsuccessful in the past. He was quick thinking and came up with a solution.

Dr Mascarenhas is not only a wonderful, caring and professional doctor but an amazing person inside and out. He is very caring of his patients, families, colleagues and staff. I have recommended this doctor to many individuals and would definitely have him care for me or any of my loved ones.
