Dr Lyerly just performed an ALIF on me one week ago and I feel so much better already! I couldn't wiggle my toes on my left foot before, and I can again. I look forward to the rest of the healing process as so far everything is going so well. Dr Lyerly is the BEST neurosurgeon, not just because he knows what he's doing, but his bedside manner, and the fact that he genuinely cares about his patients. I'm so glad that I he was my Neuro Doc. I definitely recommend him!

After seeing Dr Lyerly on Thursday Sept. 8 with.my MRI, I was scheduled for surgery today Monday Sept 12 at 7am. He wasted no time. I can say I am feeling 90% better already and anticipate 100% in a few weeks. If the need arises that I would need further procedures Dr. Lyerly will be the one I will go to. Also the staff at Dr Lyerly's office is second to none. They are so kind and helpful.

Initially very good communication but as I developed questions about procedure and outcome he was unresponsive. His bedside manor was poor. Never visited during rehab stay. Very disappointed in the outcome of my surgery and was not given an opportunity to discuss this with him.

I always loved science - as well as a TV show about a neurosurgical chief resident, Ben Casey, that was popular in the 1960s. So, I may have been predisposed to a career in medicine. I recall an episode in which Dr. Casey restored a patient's eyesight....read more
