Horrible person. Major ego. Dismissive.
Horrible. Since my first review was somehow deleted, I am now reposting.I went to Lovaas for a couple of things: an Abdominal scar revision from spinal fusion surgery and nasal reconstruction after 3 failed septoplasty and septoplasty revision surgeries. He basically told me that, at my age, I should just 'live with it“ when I asked him about correcting my nose. He looked at my horrible abdominal scar for about 5 seconds and said, “I can't do any better than that.” I was then dismissed. He showed no compassion, was unfriendly, rushed and dismissive of my concerns. I do not recommend him.

As a follow up to my post from 10 years ago….I finally had 2 revisions (by a brilliant nasal surgeon) that were successful in rectifying much of the butchering this evil man did to me. My reconstruction was performed over 3 years and required a two-stage surgical plan. The first surgery was 8 hours and the second was 4.5. It required harvesting rib cartilage, skull fascia, ear cartilage (from both ears) and fat from body to rebuild everything that was aggressively sliced off my face by Dr. Lovaas. He’s a malignant criminal - lying to me as a vulnerable young girl before my adult life had even begun. He claimed he would do this and that - all wonderful things to my nose / face. The horrors he inflicted upon my face were the act of a mentally ill narcissist. He should have to pay for his crimes. My deformities haunted me every time I looked in the mirror for the past 30 years. After these past two serious surgeries, performed by my brilliant surgeon, I am so beyond grateful - every day. It was a very expensive process and required me to travel monthly to follow up on my care, but worth every cent, time, heartache, physical risk, pain and energy I spent on fixing it. This person should be prosecuted for the abundance of pain he has caused in my life with his grossly negligent misrepresentations.

He did my nose. HE is such an artist. Made my now fit my face and my personality. He also did it without making an open incision on my nose. all the scars are inside. I was hardly black and blue , I feel so much more confident now.

I had upper and lower eye lid surgery done by Dr. Lovaas. It went horribly wrong. My eyes filled up with bloody fluid and I couldn't see for 6 weeks. I was in pain and couldn't take pain pills as they upset my stomach. The explanation was that the "window wipers" in my eyes weren't working well. Dr. Lovaas apologized, saying he had never had this happen to any patient before. My left upper eye lid still droops, but I wouldn't trust Dr. Lovaas to do corrective surgery.

As a health care professional, I have high standards that we're over exceeded by Dr. Mark Lovaas and his staff. The day of my surgery I greeted immediately then moved quickly through the process while educated step by step with friendly and skilled staff. My family were met by Dr. Lovaas after my surgery where he gave them a detailed explanation of my procedure and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Lovaas and his staff to anyone thinking of plastic surgery.
