I can’t say enough about Dr Kent. He saved my life back in 2013. My colon had flipped and I am sure that if he was not in the ER that day my life would look 100% different. When he left Lebanon,TN we lost one of the best surgeons that we have ever had here. Since his departure Vanderbilt Hospital has bought our hospital which is a plus. Dr Kent left an impression on so many people in this town and he is truly missed.

Absolutely awful
Bedside manner was fine, I was his 8th person to do bariatric surgery on with a proxy so he could get certified in Lebanon tn, he only cares about my 'booboo's' as far as after care. Once the incision healed that was it. No follow up instructions, no referrals to nutritionist, just THERE YA GO AND GOOD LUCK...

Terrible Surgeon
He did surgery on me and left the wound open. It bled for 3 months and finally another doctor found he had hit a bleeder vein in his surgery. Dr Kent refused to fix his mess and the other doctor fixed it right away. Never go to Dr. Kent!!!

Hernia surgery
The surgeon who did my second hernia operation said he couldn't even find the mesh that Dr Kent installed. I don't think Dr Kent realizes the hardship of going through an operation like this a second time, because he couldn't get it right the first time. My advice for a hernia, is to find a hernia specialist...a Surgeon who can put mesh in that's not going to disappear, and will solve your problem permanently.

Run for your Life from Dr Kent
Needed hernia surgery with complications. I am a previous Cancer patient. I went to Dr Kent who examined me, wanted an MRI done to see what was going on inside. It took 3 weeks as order was not given to Imagining Center. Finally had MRI done. Over 3 weeks again, no notice from Dr Kent as to MRI results. I call office, get an appointment, Dr Kent says MRI showed spot on Liver. Why would a Dr wait 3 weeks to notify a patient of a critical find? Dr Kent wanted a needle Biopsy done. Supposedly ordered as I was waiting to leave his office, at his choice of hospitals (Not mine). I waited for procedure date.. No calls to me. After 2 1/2 weeks I called hospital, was told, they just got the order the day before. HUH? OK, went had the needle Biopsy done. It is now 2 days short of 3 weeks & again I do not have the pathology report of the Biopsy. I could be dead for all this Dr cares. PLEASE if you value Your LIFE, DO NOT USE Dr Kent, as he surely could care less & does not value your Life.

I had gastric sleeve done by Dr Kent. At the time, I had TNCare (Tennessee Medicaid) and he was the only dr that was affiliated with any hospital that both took Medicaid.. A week after the surgery, I had a huge cyst in the lining of my stomach. I had to have surgery and almost died. My "banana" sized stomach was expanded. I would run as fast as you can. There are a lot of negative review online for him. I am sure this is why he is apparently in FL now. I would not let my worst enemy be butchered by this man.
