Great surgery no complications
Dr. Henry has high reviews from my regular optometrist. He performed a cataract surgery for me several months ago and it made a fantastic difference in my vision. His wait times can be long, but I believe he is a highly successful surgeon and therefore likely has a heavy case load. He doesn't spend a lot of time answering questions, but I received the information I wanted to know. The surgery was without complications and the care was fantastic. I have seen some complaints about long wait times. I would much rather have a long wait time than go to a doctor who has few patients because of problems with his work. I would recommend him to anyone in need of eye surgery. I can't say enough about his staff or his performance, all great!

Brought my elderly father to see Dr. Henry. His appointment was at 2 pm. It was after 4 before he was seen. Last trip to this doctor. He obviously values his time more than he does anyone else's. Not very professional.

I am sure Dr. Henry is a good Doctor. However when you have to wait more than an hour to get in the office, that is unacceptable! They must over schedule or just do not care about their patients. Who do they think they are? I can drive to Lexington and see an excellent doctor quicker than I can wait to see Dr. Henry.....,

I had an appointment at 9am this morning. I arrived early and finished my paperwork and handed it in at my appt time. After sitting in waiting room for an hour, I went to the window to ask how much longer it would be before I was seen. The answer was, "When you come to see Dr. Henry, you plan on being here two to three hours"! I said, I don't think so! My time is as valuable to me as it is to each of you or it is to the Dr. That is unbelievable! I cannot believe this clown is still in business! Or at the very least his office manager still has a position!!! If you can't schedule appts no better than that you DO NOT deserve to be in business!!!!!!!!!

The staff in the office seemed okay. The doctor however was extremely disengaged, quick to dismiss questions, and spoke more to the nurse in the room than to his patient. It is remarkable to me that a doctor could tell a patient they have 20/20 vision without conducting an eye exam. Save yourself the trip.

Dr. Henry's manner is unfriendly, disinterested. He seems reluctant to provide the treatment I need. At my first visit, Dr. Henry didn't tell me that I had dry eye syndrome AND early cataracts (I discovered these facts later reading the printout summary of my visit). When I asked for a Restasis Rx, an office employee said my ins. wouldn't cover it, but I had already checked. The Restasis has really helped my eyes! The lady doing my vision test was hurried and sloppy, so my glasses Rx is wrong!

Dr. Henry may be a good surgeon but he does not care about his patient's time. He was late for or made me wait for a long period of time for every appointment and/or surgery. I was there at 1:00. He showed up at 2:15. His office staff set me up for surgery at the wrong hospital. They also refused to take payment for a lens I had previously been told I had to pay for. By the time I got home, they were calling wanting the money. I cannot recommend a doctor that doesn't seem to respect his patient.
