Kind & Caring. Friendly, Respectful Staff
Dr Hand has been my primary care dr for about 7 yrs. I knew from first visit I was blessed to find such a doctor. His calm, reassuring approach easily conveys his sincere interest in providing answers to any personal heath concerns I present. So patient, My respect & appreciation grows.

Won't care for the elderly... unless you're rich?
Dr. Hand is my primary care physician... Or he was... Until I got bumped once I got on Medicare. My son wasted several hours trying to get a straight answer from Memorial Hermann scheduling until they literally read him a note from their system to the effect of "not to schedule appointments for Dr. Hand if you have Medicare or any of the supplement plans." Yet my plan still has him listed as my primary care physician and now I have a mess to deal with. Wow. Age-ism? Wealth-ism? And the hypocritical thing is he even professes in his video on the website that he treats Geriatrics... I guess he treats it only if you're wealthy enough to afford private commercial insurance after age 65, because based upon my experience that's why I got the boot. I'm shocked about this behavior. I guess the only solace I have is that one day he'll get older and then physicians can give him the boot.

I was hoping just to email Dr Hand to tell him how much I appreciate him rescheduling my appt and not charging me an office visit. I am so happy I found him and the fact that he is so close to me really matters and that again I am so so very sorry that I missed my appt.

Dr. Hand is my primary care physician. He listens to my issue, whatever it was that brought me to making an appointment with him, and always asks is there anything else I have questions about when we are in the exam room. It is very easy to contact his office to make an appointment. I like that I am able to contact him through the everyday well website if I need to let me know about a recent immunization I received at a pharmacy as well as communicate with him about my current prescriptions.

I love Dr Hand. He spends time with you--no rushing. He expected that some pain I was caused by problems with the spine. He was correct--I had corrective neurosurgery and feel better now than I did 20 years ago. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Hand is a good listener. When he makes a diagnosis, he explains all the options and even informs patients about the possible side effects and reactions to expect concerning medication and how to prevent reactions. When necessary he orders further tests and explains why. I have a lifetime of reluctance to see a doctor except in dire emergencies, but I don't feel that way about this one.
