Awful!!!! Don’t recommend!!!
If I could give a 0 rating, I would. He saw me in the ER at Flowers Hospital (were not out of town) and I was experiencing a kidney stone with significant pain. They pumped me with different pain medication throughout my time in the ER. When it was time for us to be discharged, my husband and myself both asked when I can take my next pain pill at home and he told us he didn’t know and that he didn’t have a crystal ball. So Unprofessional. He should know because they should be charting when they are giving me the different meds. Also, we asked where we could get a prescription filled late at night on a Friday and he told us he didn’t know and that we just needed to call around. He also refused to fill any medicine at the hospital because it was “against federal law”. I also asked for my records so I could give them to my Dr at home and he refused to hand anything over to me. Once I got my patient portal and saw my labs, there were a good bit of abnormal labs that he failed to mention.

One of the worst DO doctors ever.
Went to the ER for abdominal pain. My PC doctor suggested I needed an ultra sound but his clinic does not have, so I opted to go to this ER. BIG mistake. After waiting for 4 hours, this Doctor came in with an attitude, asked why am I in the ER? I told him that I have abdominal pain that is shooting to the back, near my kidneys. Without even looking at the area ( where there was obvious inflammation) he said " your doctor is wrong. ultra sound wouldn't show soft tissues. then he proceeded to tell me they don't even have ultrasound machines at the ER. I asked if they have MRI? he said " Nope". CT scan?? He said yes we have those!! Well? should I be the one asking for these tests or that's his job? anyway, he ordered the CT scan, which was performed after 30 minutes. Then I was told it would take an hour to 2 until they find a radiologist to read it!! why is this doctor there to begin with? if he cant read a CT scan or diagnose illness. needles to say, his title should be DOn't.

I would give 0 if I could
He ordered tests without seeing me first, then came in with an attitude telling me I didn’t need to be there without my results. He asked questions yet interrupted every time I tried to answer. He argued with me about my having surgery a month prior, I told him to contact Springhill Hospital to verify. Then he argued stating what I told him I had surgery, for it was not possible because he didn’t see it on my previous CT scan even though the surgeon stated that was the problem he did not come within 10 feet of me or do any type of exam, he was completely condescending and rude and insinuated that I just wanted pain medication despite my telling him not to give me any because that wasn’t why I was there. I just wanted to know what was wrong with me. The nurses repeatedly apologized for him and stated that he is like this all the time and a lot of people complain about him . I followed up with my G.I. doctor today and was admitted to the hospital for internal bleeding.

Horrible experience
I took my mom to the freestanding emergency room. She had excruciating abdominal pain all day to the point of tears, and we were concerned about pancreatitis or something to that degree. I wasn’t allowed back with her until after she saw the doctor and when I got back there she was sobbing over how he spoke to her and she wanted to leave. I asked the nurse to unhook her so we could go somewhere else and she was very nice and concerned so she got the charge nurse and she advised us to file a complaint and assured us she was going to take care of it. In the meantime, Doctor comes back in and is so condescending and is speaking to my mother, who has a doctorate like she is a child. She voiced her frustration and he said ‘well I’m sorry you feel that way’. I even said based on the tone of your voice you don’t seem sorry and he just looked at me before continuing on being rude and speaking to us like we were dumb.

Several things worked against our encounter with Dr. Foppe - first is in an ER, you do not have a choice on a doctor or how many cases he has to see. (Too many people use the ER as their primary care doctor,) yet that does not give Dr. Foppe the OK to be egotistical, condescending & arrogant. My sister had intense abdominal pain, yet due to the 3 days of vomiting, did not want to take any narcotics/opioids that would just mask the pain & cause more vomiting. YET, Dr. Foppe insinuated that she just wanted pain meds as he had read that she complained a LOT about abdominal pain. When I questioned him about his source, he said it was in her chart history. NOT accurate - as she battled cancer with NO pain and no pain meds during her battle. He did find a UTI. I questioned how that would cause the intense pain to the touch. Offhandedly he said he would order a CT scan - and then came back to say her pain was from issues with her gall bladder! and surgery may be needed! YIKES!

He did not order complete diagnostic testing and sent me home to follow up with my PCP. He was condescending and rude. My PCP sent me to another ER which found 3 blood clots, lower left ventricle, mesenteric artery and in my leg. One caused necrosis of my small intestines requiring 15 ft of intestines to be removed and my heart (healthy prior to this), now I have heart failure requiring a defibrillator. I was not expected to survive (2%). Don’t let this man touch you. He is seriously lacking.
