Doesn't care
Went to him about my insomnia that I've been struggling with for over 2 years now. He recommended CBT-I which I've been doing for quite some time but has not been effective. My psychologist recommended I get a sleep study to help rule out any underlying conditions because we quickly realized that Fogarty never ruled out underlying conditions. When I asked Fogarty for a referral he refused to do it because he didn't believe insurance would cover it because I didn't snore. When I asked for alternatives to a sleep study to help rule out the insomnia he just told me to take an anxiety med. Mind you he never did a screening for anxiety and never diagnosed. This whole experience has infuriated me because no matter the issue he seems to just never care and won't help with treatment. I honestly think he just doesn't care that I have insomnia. This has been going on for quite some time and I still have never been able to have underlying conditions ruled out because of his reluctance to help.

Same experience as others have noted - the doctor is very condescending, he talks over me and in an egotistical way, is belittling. Hoping to see the nurse practitioner on my next visit - then seek a new primary care physician. This doctor may know internal medicine, I don't know - having seen him for that - but as a primary care doc, his manner is terrible.

I went to see Dr. Fogarty for a preventative care visit which is covered by my insurance. After the claim was filed I was charged over $100.00 and was told it was because this was turned into a "split visit". This is because he asked me a question about a previous diagnosis. So because he asked me this question they are able to then charge me for a regular visit as well. This is very deceiving to me and I will not go back to a practice that chooses to be deceptive to their patients. I just don't even have the words to describe how upset I am at this time but if anyone would like to recommend and primary care physician that is not a thief I would appreciate it!

I along with my wife, my daughter, my sister, and BIL all see Dr. Fogarty and have for years. As with any doctor, you have to find one that you like and we all obviously like him. His staff has always been helpful.

Doctor's appointments are not social visits. They have a specific purpose. Dr. Fogarty is not an ebullient, chatty, folksy person. He is not cold, haughty, or distant, either. He is focused and professional, and that is what I look for in a physician.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Incompetent and incredibly pompous. He does not help with what you go in there for. He is very condescending especially with women. I went in with a genuine concern and left angry without any answers. He told me chronic Lyme disease wasn’t real. I mean come on, this guy is an idiot. Do not waste your time with this guy. Waste of money and waste of my time.

Constantly interrupted me while I was trying to give my history. Tried to push psychiatric meds after 5 minutes of speaking on the first appointment. Referred to the nurses as "girls." Generally rude and cold.
