I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Problems: 1. I never saw or spoke to him again after my procedure. 2. I called many times to get results -and picked up a folder with incomplete reports 3. Someone else's results were entered under my name which truly gave me anxiety 4. During the Telehealth appt after still unanswered questions, he revealed that I had an adenoma! 3weeks later! If I had not called I would have never known. My report said the CT scan is still pending. IT WAS STILL PENDING BECAUSE HE NEVER DICTATED MY REPORT OR LOOKED AT MY IMAGES! His response was everyone has adenomas no big deal. Well, if he read my check-in papers he would have noticed that my mother had kidney cancer and it was a big deal to me. I come from a medical background and know that blood tests must be done to determine if an adenoma is non-functional or functional. A patient should be monitored annually. I felt a a piece of trash thrown out to the garbage. 4. After calling again for the CT report, the nurse said he would call me. It has been three days, and there has been no word.

Unprofessional
A family member was a patient of Dr. Mark Flora this year. He needed to be seen for high PSA levels and ultimately received a biopsy of his prostate. Our experience with Dr. Flora was disappointing and concerning. His lack of professionalism, compassion and his poor communication created a lot of stress and unanswered questions during a time of great anxiety. During the day of the procedure, he made many inappropriate comments and tried to be humorous when it was exceedingly poor timing as well as being completely unprofessional. He was lacking in any type of compassion. He made a comment that he, 'dislikes stupid questions and stupid people', which made us feel very uncomfortable. After returning home from the procedure, the patient spiked a high fever. We had difficulty reaching Dr. Flora or any staff to let them know that he was having difficulty. It was challenging and time consuming and took many phone call attempts to get results of the biopsy. When we decided to go to Vanderbil

Ouch!
I saw Dr. Flora for worrisome symptoms. He shared his differential diagnosis (possible conditions that could underlie the symptoms) and provided a very thorough work up. He was able to then identify the culprit and successfully treat it. I was struck by his knowledge, update on the relevant medical science, and perfectionism. I enjoy humor and Dr. Flora is certainly quick witted. With that said, I suspect some patients may prefer a more impersonal interaction with their care provider. For me, Dr. Flora is a good match and he proved an excellent doctor who was certainly there when I needed his help.

No time for being funny
Although he seems quite competent, his approach was most disconcerting. Trying to be the funny guy with questions posed to the patient and family is NOT helpful. I like a person with a sense of humor but he has no sense of appropriateness. Went to a different doctor and very glad that I did.

Doc Flora isnt bad, but the staff and office management are awful. Do not go here. Horrible communication, rude staff. The staff seems inept when it comes to completing simple tasks. I requested a refill and they simply never processed it or called me because they didnt see that medication in my chart...it was the generic for what was in my chart. This is the level of medical education that is working at this clinic. Avoid for your own benefit.
