Dr Farber is NOT recommended
We came to Dr Farber 2 weeks ago for help. He did not offer us any help. My wife was referred by 3 other UNC vascular Dr's to have surgery performed by another vascular surgeon in CT - as they admitted that her vascular issue was complex they could not perform the surgery themselves. After the surgery in CT - we made an appt with Dr Farber as a follow up as he was listed as a very experienced in vascular dissections (as a splenic artery dissection was discovered after the surgery and needed monitoring going forward). When Dr Farber entered the room (along with 4 residents or students) he was very arrogant and condescending to us. He offered us no help or options for help other than going back to the Dr in CT - and we live in NC! The students and another Dr that was in the room were very surprised (on their faces) by Dr Farber's unprofessionalism. It is obvious that Dr Farber is in his late 70's and maybe should not be seeing patients any longer.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He is nothing like his UNC video on You Tube.He walked in the room with 4 resident students and if showing them how NOT to treat a patient then he succeeded.I was disrespected, invalidated and he showed no sign of compassion, empathy , care or concern. The one star goes to his staff. He gets zero.
