Exemplary results for retinal reattachment surgery
I had a retinal detachment in 1994 and Dr. Chiu did a reattachment with a 360 scleral buckle and cryo. I had a quick and complete recovery. I had such a successful recovery that I was a good candidate for LASIK in the year 2000 in another state, as I've had 20/200 vision since childhood and wore glasses and contacts since. I have been diligent about keeping up with Dr. Chiu's advice--hydrating properly and getting checkups every two years to assess my retinal reattachment surgery results. Every time, though living in multiple states and seeing various other retinal specialists, each and every one of them has been highly impressed with the results of the surgery and the very impressive outcome. The last retinal physician actually called him an artist.I am such a fan of Dr. Mark Chiu, and I humbly thank him for saving my eyesight in my right eye, and the excellent surgery results that continue to impress other retina specialists. I highly recommend him.

Experienced and careful Diagnostician
Dr. Chiu was the first doctor to figure out what eye disease I had, and his early intervention helped save my sight. I trust him to do careful and thoughtful exams.

Very long wait times, does not communicate very effectively, I find that you must interrogate him to find answers and current status.

I have been unable to go to my appointments, it is not safe for me to drive, due to my eyesight. I have AMD on my left eye and my right eye , I am seeing floaters and my peripheral vision is gone, I have no idea when I can go, I don’t have anyone to take me, so I have to deal with it. Eye Associates have been very good and I would recommend it to everyone, very professional and understanding, Thank You
