I have been a patient of Dr. Carlson's for 6 yrs. I love the concierge services and everything that service offers. My appointments are always at least 30 min. long, no wait time, and my physicals are 2 1/2 hrs long. We cover everything and he has plenty of time to just visit. When my parents were visiting from out of town, Dr. Carlson even found time to see my mother that day, when she was having a medical issue. The staff are pleasant and very knowledgeable. A few things I really love about Siouxland Adult Medicine, is the one stop shopping, and they all know me by my name when I walk through the door. I can get my labs drawn and run right there, and have all kinds of testing done, including bone density, treadmill, EKG, spirometry and even allergy testing. If I do need a specialist, Dr. Carlson contacts the doctor he trusts and sets an appointment without having to wait. I can call Dr. Carlson at night or on the weekends and he answers the phone personally. They are the best!!

After leaving him, I heard from other practicing physicians that he “used” to be a good doc. I was a patient of his for his “concierge service” for a few years. I only used this. “ always available service” twice and both times it was farcical. He’s in it now to do as little as possible and make more money. He knows things professionally....but his care is lacking. Referrals from his office are a joke. Insurance approvals are horrible! Getting records is frustrating. He wanted to charge fir copies!!!! Several of his staff left and those there run crazy doing his business. So much stuff I could tell you. Just don’t waste your time and money with him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Carlson for about six years. I have been delighted in his concierge service. I have had excellent access to the Doctor when I needed help. I think he has a staff that is great. The front desk people and his nurses (who answer the questions) have been great.
