Addendum to my first review about Dr. Bartiss....
The more I think about it, the more irresponsible and unprofessional Dr. Bartiss' response to me was. I mentioned this before, but now this is REALLY bothering me: As a physician whose primary focus is hormones (which he prescribed for me), HOW RESPONSIBLE WAS IT OF HIM TO DUMP ME AS HIS PATIENT IN THE MIDDLE OF ME TAKING MEDICATIONS THAT HE PRESCRIBED FOR ME -- WITHOUT FIRST ADVISING ME WHEN TO STOP OR CONTINUE TAKING THOSE MEDICATIONS? I am in utter limbo as to what to do next. I don't believe that I was a difficult patient. My only "flaw" was I wanted to GET WELL and was intimately involved in my healing -- which required me to ask him and his associate questions. "No one cares as much about your health as much as yourself" (you all know that phrase). I CARED about my health and Dr. Bartiss just couldn't handle me asking all those questions (either in emails or in two letters). Sorry Dr. Bartiss, but in my opinion you were really irresponsible by choosing to dump me like that.

RUN FROM HERE!
Told by the office I needed blood work. I spent $120 to have my blood drawn by a private lab since I am housebound & a VERY difficult draw. I was unable to come into the office in December but was willing to come in for January. Instead, after spending $120 on blood work, resulting in me getting stuck 10 times with an incomplete draw, I was dropped by Dr. Bartiss as a patient! Not only do I not have my blood work results that I paid for, I do not have my thyroid medication which is needed to function on a daily basis. Funny how this office didn't care that I went without blood work for over 1 year & then as soon as I pay for the blood work, I not only get dropped, but I also didn't get my results & now the office is refusing to give them to me! This place offers nothing but dangerous expensive "treatments", the most incompetent staff I have ever come across, & a doctor who cares ONLY about money.

FOOLED AGAIN! – Feb 03, 2022

Be very wary of the thermoscan procedure that he offers. I had it done and was told that my results were negative. Three months later I found out that I had a 2.7 cm malignant tumor in my breast that had spread to my lymph nodes. When I called to tell Dr. Bartiss about this, I had to pay for an office visit and he suggested putting ozone up my vagina. You cannot speak to him unless you pay for an appointment. He doesn't take insurance. You have to submit it yourself and only his consultation is covered.

Dr. Bartiss is an exceptionally brilliant doctor who cares about improving the health of his patients. He doesn't believe in prescribing mainstream medications that act as a bandaid and usually end up hurting people. Dr. Bartiss has helped me in so many ways. He cured my osteoporosis and my lyme disease. He helped me through menopause and after. He is the first doctor I call for an opinion for anything that goes wrong. I once asked him why he went into alternative medicine, and he said, "After treating patients using the traditional methods I was taught, I realized that no one was getting better. I knew I had to delve deeper and began studying alternative ways to help people." I knew he was my doctor after that. It's now 12 years later, and I think I've sent about 100 people to him. I will continue recommending Dr. B to anyone who needs medical help. Don't hesitate to visit him. He can and will help you, and if he thinks you need to pursue another avenue, he will tell you.

Mark Bartiss Is the BEST! I don’t like doctors, as I feel they are nothing more than pill pushers aided by the PDR. Dr. Bartiss is a diagnostician. He is thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and attentive...plus, I love his wicked sense of humor. Started going to him for hormone replacement therapy and thyroid issues. He didn’t just throw a standardized pill at me and send me packing. He worked till he got it right for me. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has worked diligently to find answers to and help for a medical problem I have. He makes me feel that I am not just another patient but a person who is hurting and needs help. ICAM offers so many innovative solutions to help its patients. I firmly believe in alternative medicine over conventional and Mark is a prime example of its benefits. The staff at ICAM are friendly and helpful. A very special thank you to Christina. And, of course, a big thank you to Dr. Bartiss. We are so very fortunate to have you as our doctor.

There is no where else in NJ like ICAM/Dr. Bartiss. He and his people are very knowledgable, caring, and compassionate. I tried multiple specialist in several areas specifically endocrinology, but all of them pushed the latest and most costly drugs made by big pharma. There was very little to no amount of individuality in their treatment, and if you dared to question them on anything the only response I ever got was attitude and disgust. It is not like that at ICAM. Dr. Bartiss has helped my wife and I immensely! The only downfall to ICAM is they do not take insurance, and my insurance would not reimburse me for anything done there.

Not worth it. He doesn't know his stuff like he would like you to believe. Become your own doctor and do your homework with reputable institutions like Life Extension. You can order your own blood work and consult with a hormone specialist at no cost. Saved my life after I realized he wasn't doing spit for me.

It took a bit over a year for him to level and optimize my hormones. It’s not something that can be fixed with one magic pill. Yes. It was frustrating and I wanted to give up, but I read into my self well mentally and physically. It’s very complex and intricate just like us as human beings. No two are alike... Patience is a virtue. Everything must line up and the patient asking for care is not exempt from this.

I have never been so disappointed by a doctor who I thought was going to help me with my extreme hormone issues. This doctor might be okay if you do not have serious health issues and are just using his complimentary therapies if you are an athlete or again do not have serious medical conditions, otherwise the doctor is completely useless and just from talking to him you can tell he just doesn't care at all. He has been nothing but a complete waste of time and money.

My health has increased tenfold since I began seeing him 2 years ago. I am healthier in every area and more vibrant than ever. I feel like I am 25 years younger! Thank you Dr. Bartiss!

After seeing several MD's and specialists and undergoing innumerable tests I found Dr. Mark Bartiss, MD. After running a complete panel of blood work and a saliva test he was able to make a diagnosis, set me up with natural supplements and I'm recovering! Nothing short of a miracle. I purposely sought a doctor who would use pharmaceuticals as a LAST resort. His staff is warm, considerate and will inform you up front that the office visits and treatments are not pay covered by insurance.

My Rheumatologist flipped out when she found out Dr Bartiss gave me hormone therapy with my family history (which I told him about) of breast cancer. His treatment caused me heart issues which requird further diagnostic testing. His office was completely uncooperative with providing my insurance company with the information required for me to be reimbursed. And the supplements I was prescribed were several different names, but a lot of the same basic vitamins. This office is such a scam.

Dr. Bartiss is an awful doctor, i do not recommend him to anyone, steer clear! As a 45 yr old female, he diagnosed me w low testosterone and inserted me w/ a testosterone pellet; w/in 3 weeks I was at the ER with vaginal pain bc my testoetoner levels were 7x higher than normal. He then refused to remove the pellet, and later attempted to remove it by poking pins in my buttocks and failed, then said this was my fault & told me to find a new doctor. He should be banned from practicing medicine.

Saw the Dr for about a year. My last office visit was denied by my insurance company. The dr office would NOT help me get the proper information that the insurance company needed to cover this office visit. The office also never returned my phone calls when I asked about the information needed.
