Impatient, rude and off-putting
I have never been so off-put by a medical provider in all my 40 years of life. Went with my friend to a prenatal visit- she asked me to be her pregnancy support person. Dr. Ballard was abrupt, acted impatient, did not invite questions or fully explain things to the patient. He talked a blue streak yet somehow failed to convey information in a clear manner. At first I couldn't quite tell if he was being rude or if he was maybe neurodivergent or awkward ...I tried to give benefit of the doubt throughout the visit, but after he told my friend (with a history of severe postpartum depression & beginning to have symptoms again) she didn't need medication but rather just needed to "take walks in the sunshine and don't wear sunglasses" to avoid depression...I was ready to grab my friend and RUN. When I spoke up and asked him to explain something for my friends benefit, he acted incredibly annoyed and didn't seem to care about making sure his patient was at ease. Not impressed at all.

Dr. Ballard and his staff are amazing. I have the highest regard for his practice, and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an OBGYN. He is knowledgable and considerate. His practice style is reminiscent of days of old where doctors looked at patients as unique individuals, and not just a name on a file.

Staff is very friendly. The Doctor is inconsiderate of people’s time and doesn’t listen to his patients. I thought it was maybe a bad day but gave him three chances (Different visits) and all were the same.
